I’m on day 29 of my menstrual cycle and I have been taking ovulation tests since day 12 but no positive result of ovulation. My period ranges from 35/40 days. Do I still have time to ovulate with these numbers?? Can I request clomid from my clinic?

Not ovulating?
Does this happen every month? I’d probably have some follicle tracking scans or a day 21 blood test before jumping straight into clomid? Which OPKs are you using and are you testing once or twice a day?
I don’t no I had a blood test with my gp the beginning of the year that confirmed I do ovulate but my doctor told me to not use ovulation strips and it has set me back soon as I started with my clinic the doctor told me to start testing. I have pco. Once a day.
Do you have Pcos? I do and most monthsI don’t ovulate at home. I will start Clomid with my private clinic in September.
I have pco but not the syndrome I was told xx
Do you have regular periods and regular ovulation then? I have pcos and also the syndrome which was confirmed with blood test, my LH level is too high. Therefore I don’t ovulate often. I don’t have any other symptoms, I have regular periods, I don’t have acne, loss of hair etc.
Usually ovulation happens around 14 days before your period. It could be that you are just having a long cycle this month?! I usually have to test twice a day with opk sticks to get my positive.xx
I would keep testing a few more cycles, I dont think its unusual to have the odd month where you dont ovulate, in fact I have found this more frequent since Covid lockdown - not sure if thats a coincidence or not.
it sounds to me like its unlikely you will ovulate this cycle but that doesnt mean there is a problem and I would test again next month to be sure.
However as Cinderella says particularly if you are using the cheap sticks you need to test more than once a day - they recommend every 4 hours. So you may have missed it
Good luck x
No I’m using clear blue quite expensive:/ clinic told me to use these ones this month and then when I get a positive I needed to have a blood test to confirm but don’t no where that stands now
