β€’15 Replies

Good evening you beautiful bunch, hope this finds you all well.

I start down regging on Tuesday night so I'm writing to ask you all for your Top Tips for injecting & dealing with any side effects of Buserelin.

Just trying to be prepared a much as I can (,c (you can tell it's my 1st round!) All ready have some codeine tablets on stand by for headaches as I get them anyway but would love to hear your thoughts 😊

Wishing you all baby dust 🌌

Hey hunny! It's my second cycle and I'm currently down regulating. I havent had any side effects as of yet, just getting slight twinges in my ovaries but not too sure if that's just me starting my period soon! Happy to answer any other questions. The injections dont hurt, just sting a bit. Good luck xxx

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I appreciate it 😊 Glad to hear your not having any side effects - I think I'm more worried about them than the injections! Thank you, if I have any questions, I will be sure to ask. Good luck with your 2nd cycle -sending baby dust your way🌌 xx

Hi hunny good luck on your journey! When I was down regging I didn't have any side affects and the needle is tiny so you shouldn't feel that.. I'm now stimming and the injection for gonal f is much bigger 😳 and I get headaches and cramps (but that's a good sign it's working hopefully) if you have any other questions don't hesitate chick 😊 Xx

Hi! Thank you for your reply. Yes, the needles don't look too bad, I think it's just the thought of it! Bless you, side effects are not fun but as you say, something is going on so hopefully a good sign. Good luck with this cycle, will look out for your updates. Sending baby dust your way 🌌 xx

Ice, ice and more ice. Not an ice cube though because it will melt. That will numb the area and lessen any bruising. For the headaches you may get with Buserelin; no Ibuprofen, drink plenty of water, take paracetamol (if that doesn't touch it CoCodamol is fine), and if all else fails put a hot water bottle on your head! It really helps honestly! xx

Hi tugsgirl, thank you for your reply - hope you are doing as well as can be. I have out some small ice packs in the freezer ready for tomorrow! I have also stocked up on CoCodamol & I have a hot water bottle to hand πŸ˜‰ Thanks again & sending positive thoughts your way xxx

During my first cycle I used Buserelin for 12 days, no side effects at all and no bruising or problems with the injection site. I found injecting low on the tummy best for me and swap sides....although my husband had to do most of my injections. I'm a wimp when it comes to needles. The stems were fine too, no side effects really, sweats and bloating but nothing too bad. The thought of it is worse than the actual thing. Good luck.

Thank you, yes I think the thought of it all is more daunting than the reality. It's just unknown but I'm sure after a couple of days it'll be fine. Will be injecting into my thigh as this is where our clinic advised & hubby will be on standby! Glad you didn't have any side effects - I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Good luck xx

If you struggle at all... try the angle at 45 degree and not 90. Dont pinch your skin too hard when you hold it; it makes it harder to get the needle in. And don't be too gentle and slow with the needle going in.

Will your clinic go through your first injection? I've got a video I can send you if you like? Not of me! One my clinic shared with me. x

Thank you for the tips, will be writing everything down in a book to refer to if I need it. We've had our injection training so all set to go but it was nearly 2 weeks ago! I know it'll be fine, just the wait leading up to it! Yes, would appreciate anything you have that I can look at....thank you xxx
