Hi ladies just wondering on nutrition, what did you eat and drink? Let me get this straight, it's important for hubby to eat well aswell? So lots of fruit, lots of veg... 5 a day if not more. Brazil nuts and almonds every day? How many? Porridge for breakfasts or a omelette so I'm getting my eggs, lots of chicken and protein, a high protein diet? At least 65 grams if not more. 2 litre of water a day? How often should I eat pineapple and avarcardo every day? Mainly follow a healthy balanced diet. Xx

Starting injections tomorrow... advice on nutrition as it's the only thing I can control.
Hi De192. "My" dietary advice! Carbohydrates - Wholegrain bread and wholemeal pasta, oatmeal, brown rice. All fresh vegetables especially raw or steamed. Over boiling rids them of vitamins and minerals, pineapple juice, apricots, potatoes, all fruit and honey, beans, chickpeas and lentils. Protein - Organic meat if possible, poultry, fish, Milk and hard cheese, nuts and seeds. Fat - Extra virgin olive oil and sunflower oil, avocado and peanut butter, mackerel, sardines, nuts (especially Brazil and walnuts), seeds, sweet corn and sweet potatoes. The things to avoid are too much sugar, processed foods, ready meals, butter, ice cream etc. A little is OK, but not all the time. Drink plenty of water and only a little tea and coffee if feeling deprived. Cut right down or right out – alcohol and smoking. Oh and don’t forget the Folic Acid! Hope this helps and all the best. And for “him” a diet high in selenium and zinc will help to produce good quality sperm as zinc is an important component in building sperm. Good sources of zinc include dairy products, nuts – especially Brazil nuts and seeds. Vitamins C and E are also known for their benefits as vitamin E is thought to help sperm to be more potent. Vitamin C is known for its protective qualities at preventing the DNA in sperm from becoming damaged. Vitamin E is found in avocados, sweet potatoes, sprouts and tomatoes. Good sources of vitamin C are kiwis, strawberries, oranges and broccoli. Hope this helps and good luck to both of you. Diane
Thank you for your advice, I have been having porridge for breakfast, apple two pear, and bannna, avacardo with low fat yougut, Brazil nuts but only 4- and about 10 almonds, Brazil nuts are so fattening so been having 10 grams, and for lunch I been having chicken with brocolli carrots and green beans in a sauce with a bit of brown rice and spinach. And a pint of milk semi skimmed a day? Got pineapple to eat to, for tea gonna have steak or gammon with mushrooms and egg. I'd easily do my daily 2 thousand calories there lol! It's hard not going over lol! Did you find that? I'm off caffeine, start injections in next twenty mins, only time I'll be having pop is once a week on a Saturday and that's at the cinmea with a salted popcorn that's my treat? Xxx
I got my 2 litres of water, had no caffeine at all, made sure i got my 5 a day and started eating loads of pineapple (just in case it worked lol). I also had a walk each night for light exercise which made me feel a bit better and more in control. I don't drink alcohol anyway except on special occasions so wasn't a hardship to stop that. I can't think of anything else i ate/drank but good luck! Xxx
Do you think I be alright to have a bit on a Saturday? Pop? I got pineapple I'm gonna have some! Thanks for the list! just had injection was nothing xxx
I reckon a bit now won't make a difference i think if you were drinking every night it might affect it but a little just this once should be fine. All the best! Xxx
