Hello,

My advice would be to definitely be kind to yourself, try to take it easy, and if you can take some time off work if you have a stressful job then do it. My work was very supportive, but being a drama and dance teacher at a busy secondary school I found the pressure was quite intense. I'm definitely going to put me first this time. And most importantly remember despite the amazing science Mother Nature still has a part to play in this (unfortunately!) try to stay relaxed, I'm loving acupuncture at the mo, really helps me to chill out! Is this your first appointment after your GP, or are you going to a clinic?

Thank you for replying. Have the first consultation with the clinic. Always wanted to try acupuncture maybe now is a good time.

Hi, your at a similar stage to us then 👍🏼 We'be also been trying for over three years and finally got our first appointment with the IVF clinic in November just gone. My advise would be to write any questions down in between now and your appointment that will just randomly pop into your head then you can ask them when you're there. What clinic are you going to? They should be able to answer every single question you have anyway but don't do what we did and when we left we were like 'oh should have asked... such and such' etc.

Good luck!!! ❤️💕💪🏼👍🏼

Northampton clinic and how about you? After the first consultation what happens next?

We're at the CARE clinic in Nottingham. I was talking about all this with another lady a couple of weeks ago because before I went I didn't have a clue what would happen either?! But now we've had our first appointment I totally don't mind answering any questions about it because like I said I was clueless before and I think it's probably useful to know what to expect. But our first appointment was over 3 hours long. All clinics will be different I guess but our doctor was really really good at explaining things! I've written all this down partly as a log for myself and partly from when I was messaging this other lady so would you mind if I go and find my other messages and copy and paste them to you? It will just take me forever to write again otherwise haha xxx

Hello! We passed ivf with de in Ukraine through eviternity.org. So this is what we experienced with our 1st app. They defined the date for initial consultation and sent us the list of the required documents. Those were transvaginal ultrasound check results. Breast ultrasound check results. Chest X-ray (for both me and my husband). Doctor's certificate that I was healthy enough to carry out a baby and that pregnancy was not prohibited for me. Also sperm count.

On the date of the initial consultation we both came to the clinic to undergo the required tests (blood tests for both, pap smear, sperm count). The doctor studied medical records, performed transvaginal ultrasound check and evaluated our chances to successfully accomplish the program. He explained us the treatment plan. We decided to book all inclusive program of 5 shots. The medications and selective reduction were Included into the package price. We signed the agreements and officially started the treatment.

Wish you good luck with your further research.

Hello Mag. Sorry you ttc with no result. Having passed through 3 unsuccessful cycles I realize now that all happen in good times. I don't know whether my 4th would be successful but i'm trying to be calm and take care of myself. healthy food, youga and accupuncture work very good, i'm in a good mood more often and it's hard to lose my temper.

To give you any advice you better tell more about your problems. Why ivf, what is the reason you can't get pregnant naturally?

hi there Magc27! Sorry for your natural attempts failed. i ttc for more than 10 years though and finally succeeded with de ivf tx not so long ago, became a mother at 49 haha

well, before you start you must be 100% confident that you choose the best option for you. i don't know if you're relying on nhc or looking for a clinic you may afford..it's also would be interesting if you share your painful experience then you can express your feelings and get our emotional support here. so, your first appointment..you must get all the information you need, you can make a list of questions to be prepared. make sure you're informed of what is included in your tx, if there are any additional payments, how much time it takes to start every stage of your tx. you also must know what's going to happen in case of failure or unpredictable things.

wish you luck x

regarding where you are about to have a treatment my advice would differ because as i have had mine abroad it's been a bit more complicated as they have asked me to send them a lot of medical documents, doctor's letter and stuff.

but i will just leave here a small advice - just do not worry, reduce the stress, try to be calm and strong. and try to think positive!!! this would help because it is essential for this kind of a thing. as my manager told me at the only beginning, at our first meeting in real life. she explained us what the treatment is (surprisingly enough she was very fluent in english).

anyways, the most important - listen to your doctor and everything will be fine!

I am happy to hear that you are preparing for an IVF. It is a good thing especially for someone who has been TTC for three years. It is for this reason that I feel like sharing some critical information with people who are going for an IVF. Notice that there are natural therapies which could help you prepare for IVF journey. First, it is important to remember that preparing for IVF is critical just as it is to the farmer when he prepares the soil for planting. Preparing for IVF helps to support your reproductive system and the hormones. It helps to nourish the body and gives it the nutrients required during the early stages of fetal development. It gives the body the right tools it requires to help handle the journey. As a mother, you have many things you can do to help increase your IVF success rate. Therapies are some of the options you have. Some are supported by studies while others are based on nutrition or anatomical knowledge that helps to support the health of the body. Therapies such as acupuncture, yoga have shown to help increase the success rate. All that you need to do is to choose the right one amongst them to increase the chances of having a successful IVF. To do this, you need to create a plan ahead of time. Note that it takes about 6 weeks from the time one starts medication and transfer of the embryo. It means that you should plan to use supplements 3 months before you start your medication. However, you need to avoid herbs that have not been tested.
