I’m just wondering how you all find your IVF clinic admin to be? I’m at a clinic in London and I can spend 20 mins on the phone on hold trying to get an appointment (this happened today without getting one!) It can take 3 days to respond to an email etc. I remember this happening last time before our cycle was cancelled and I found it really really stressful. I could spend half an hour in the boardroom at work trying to get through to someone!
I’m wondering if this is normal or perhaps if I should be researching other clinics? Am finding the whole process stressful enough to be honest.
Many thanks

To be honest my clinic in London was quite the same... emails maybe 24-48 hours and calls it totally depends. Have you tried calling first thing in the morning when they open... I found this helped a lot or else there would be a que to speak to someone on the phone. Xx
Interesting. I wonder if it’s the same one!! Yes will try first thing but I also work full time so don’t have time to spend half an hour at a time on hold! Just really frustrating x
I selected a clinic based on a location close to my work to make it easier to travel back and forth. I got my investigations done, and began to book my IVF treatment with them. However during the process I found that I couldn't get through to them via email or phone to ask a simple question etc I therefore called another clinic as we were still in the early stages and found them to be much better. I barely have to hold, they respond to emails within hours and are extremely helpful. I couldn't of handled the stress of trying to get through to the previous clinic whilst going through IVF, as its already stressful enough. If your in the early stages it might be worth calling another clinic and asking what their response times are like for calls/emails. Its always a good indication on the level of contact and response rates that you have with them whilst considering selecting them.
That’s really interesting, thanks a lot for the feedback. I do like the doctors very much but the admin is really stressing me out!! I’m looking at other options now x
Its definitely worth having a look at other clinics, im sure the team will be just as nice. I also tried to find reviews on google/facebook before selecting the clinic. Best of luck and I hope you manage to find a good one x
Hi I am sorry to hear this. I am under the London women’s clinic in London and so far very good. Can reach reception or the nursing team pretty instantly, and email responses is very prompt and supportive. Fingers crossed you can find it not so stressful as you don’t need that added stress xx
Thanks so much for the response. I was literally just looking at this clinic as it’s near to my office. After your recommendation I will definitely review further xx
I didn’t do much research I was under my consultant historically elsewhere and followed him here as it’s more convenient. I have only seen him once but I find the rest of the service nurses reception Counselling all very good x
