Hello first time trying to get a IUI done

I am 35 late marriage, like to have an IUI done in Leicester. Any one know the waiting list for NHS or any reasonable private clinics around?

I too met my husband a bit later in life and first went to my GP in March 2015 after trying to conceive for around 9 months when I found out that if you're over 35 they recommend going to GP after 6 months rather than waiting a year... had various blood tests done and hubby also had a sperm analysis. In May 2015 we were given the choice of an NHS referral to the fertility clinic at either LRI in Leicester or QMC in Nottingham because his sample was a bit abnormal and they weren't sure if I ovulated regularly. We chose Nottingham and our first appointment was in November 2015 - it was originally booked for August but my GP had failed to send through all the right information so it got cancelled. I think the wait for the initial appointment is generally around a couple of months or so for QMC, might be longer for LRI though, I'm not sure... but once we were in the system everything moved really quite quickly. I had to have more tests done at the clinic, inuding an HSG to check my tubes weren't blocked and then they came up with our treatment plan. We had clomid for 6 months first and are now 1 cycle of iui down of 3 that they offer.

I can't comment on private clinics as we've only had NHS treatment so far. Good luck on your journey - do you know that you need iui for definite? Xx
