So I have just been for my scan today and they have decided that egg collection will be Friday. I currently have one follicle 'on the line' they would like it to be on the graph (20mm) and then 3 not far behind between 15-18mm and one about 14mm. I kept asking if this was average or expected but I never got a straight answer. Can anyone help?

How many follicles
Hi, Ive just had a scan today to check my follicles too which was day 8 of stims. Mine were around 12mm and a few smaller ones under 10mm (although I dont think they are expecting the small ones to catch up). They told me that they will give me a date for egg collection once two of them reach 18mm. I have a repeat scan on Wed. This is my second cycle and a lot can happen in a few days which I learned previously! I dont think there is such a thing as average or expected, everyone is different and Ive seen loads of ranges on here. There's lots to consider, age, AMH levels etc. Im using a hot water bottle in the evening which is meant to help things along so you could try this to help them develop! All the best!xx
When I asked they said to me everyone is different. I only had two follicles the right size and a couple of smaller ones. They managed to get 7 eggs but 3 were immature from the smaller follicles and now I've just got a BFP xx
Congratulations! Was this your first cycle? X
Yes it was x
Hi ToniBrowne, I too might be having my egg collection on Friday. Having another scan today for them to let me know. I have a few big ones and several little ones, so will just see if some of them catch up. I don't think they like saying what s normal as all different but I think one dr said they want them all to reach around 17mm for a good size and hopefully a good egg! At my scan yesterday they found some fluid which they want to get checked out, hopefully nothing but cant help but worry so hopefully will know more for sure today. This process is such a roller coaster ride as so many hurdles to reach at every stage. What time off are you planning to take?
