I'm glad it did. I found this bit the worst for the most emotional pressure on me to perform. Mix in a lot of drugs messing with hormones and it's a receipe for stress and anxiety.
Good luck and hope the ovary with the follicles on is not giving you too much discomfort. Hot water bottle seemed to work for me x
It has started to, it's not too bad though. I'm going on a long walk in the hills today, so I hope the blood flowing will be good for me.
It all just feels quite full..... and I know it's probably insane.......but I worry about something bashing me too hard and popping them! I feel fit to burst and there's 4 more days to go
Hi, I had a lot of follicles as with Pcos I was at high risk of ovarian hyper stimulation syndrome (which I developed following egg collection). We had 24 eggs collected (which was a lot!) 15 were fertilised, then in the end we had 6 very good quality embryos - 1 transferred (unsuccessfully unfortunately) and 5 frozen. Everyone responds differently to treatment. I know it's hard, but just try to go with it and remember you only need one good embryo to stick! Wishing you luck on this emotional journey xx
I had around 13-14 follicles on one side and 15+ on the other. I had 14 mature eggs collected. 8 fertilised. By day 3 we had 6 left. By day 5 we had 5 but we were assured they were very high quality. One was put back and 4 were frozen. We had a bfn. We used a frosty and got a bfp. We had a missed miscarriage at about 8 weeks. We are using frosty no.2 on Monday which will leave us with 2 in the freezer.
Good luck with EC. Please remember it only takes 1! (It's an oldie but it's true) xx
I only had a really low number of follicles as they couldn't access my right ovary due to endo - 6 eggs collected, 4 fertilised and all were doing well until day 5 when there was only 1 2bb embryo left and nothing to freeze and we were given an extremely low chance of success...that remaining one is now a 21 week pregnancy after years of ttc, a mmc, ops etc etc - so it really does only take 1! Lots of nice healthy but relaxing walks, hypnotherapy CDs (would really recommend Helen McPherson IVF belief) and acupuncture to increase blood flow seemed to work it seems!
Wishing you all the very best and just remember it really does only take one so don't get too hung up on numbers xxx
Another really reassuring message x I know in the logical bit of me that 1 could be enough, but in but of me that aches to be a mummy....I want millions of them x
