First Bursellin injection done! 👍🏼

After being nervous all day, I have just done my first Burserillin injection and I am pleased to say it was fine, nothing to worry about! It's a bit stingy but hardly and I didn't feel the needle going in- that's how fine they are! It's just a bit hot/itchy at the site for a bit which I think is normal. I guess I'll have to wait and see if I get any side effects in the coming days (has anyone got any side effects and are they manageable?) but in the meantime I am going to try and take one day at a time! xx #onestepcloser

Hey Anna! Well done on your first injection the only side effect I had was headaches in the evening and I was fine during the day! As I had my cyst I had pains on my ovary but no other side effect. But also forgetting this lol my husband said that's normal for me lol xx

Hi HopefulAnna. Well done with your injections. If you do get a bit sore, then try putting an ice cube on the spot and let it melt. Tends to numb the area! Hopefully, you won't get any side effects, but as already mentioned, the commonest is headache. Also some ladies get a bit moody and weepy. You can take paracetamol for any headache, but try not to take any anti-inflammatories such as ibuprofen. Good luck! Diane

Thanks for your message. Good idea re ice cube/pack. It tends to be sore/itchy for a bit then wears off. I have a bit of a headache today actually - feel like i have a hangover but havent been drinking at all! I will stick with paracetamol and drink lots of water. Just need to think, this will all be worth it if it works!! x
