How to lower Fsh level ..?

Hi ladies, hope everyone is good, I was referred to hospital for an Ivf, but my bmi was slightly over 30, I was asked to lower it down. I have lost weight and now there is no problem with weight and I have been referred a second time to hospital but this time they say my fsh level is 11 so it's higher than it should be, so they said I am not eligible for an ivf funding and I have to pay for it which is not affordable for the time being. So please does anybody know if it's possible to lower the fsh level and what should I do. ? thanks

Hi

What have they said as to why the fsh bring too high means it can't be funded? We are to be nhs funded and my fsh is also too high, in fact higher than yours at 12,5 at the last check. The nurse told us we would just start on higher stimulation drugs. Im also on the look out for things to lower the fsh but Im not sure what to do either fingers crossed someone has some experience they can share ️xx

Hi,thank you for your reply, that's right they said my fsh level should be below 9, are you going to be a nhs funded or you doing it private. Both way wish you good luck and successful ivf😊

I am going to be NHS funded the nurse asked me yesterday to get the GP to sent a fund proforma to the Governing body that provides the funding then leeds will receive the go ahead from them. Hoping the NHS fund is all we need but we would pay private if we had to x

hello, in Liverpool where I live your fsh has to be below 10, and mine was a whopping 22.5! However, I asked for a retest on both my fsh and amh and both improved - in just 12 weeks. have a look at my previous post where I mention this (it went down to 14.5!!!). I definitely think you can get it down, you will 100% need to get your bmi down too though as that's also normally an exclusion from funding if over 30.

In one of my replies to that post I've listed all the supplements and doses and even some brands that I used. I also saw a medical herbalist who gives me herbs to balance hormones which helps bring down your fsh (vitex being one of many in the potion!).

Good luck!!

Xx
