Questions about long protocol

Please help

We have been given a date (end of November) for EC and the next step is to go in for a blood test between day 1 and day 4 of my next cycle, which should be some time this week. However I am really confused as I have been given a prescription for the pill which as far as I am aware I have to start taking on day 5 of my cycle - and from what I've read on the long protocol you start taking injections on day 21 of your cycle... But the dates just don't add up. Are injections for two weeks before EC?

Hey Hun every clinic is different so I think you should call yours to get some more information. My day 21 is this Friday so I will be taking injections from then. But I never had any blood taken from my previous period. Call your clinic to ask for more advice xx

The main lady who we were in contact with doesn't work there anymore and she's been replaced by a woman who doesn't really seem interested in answering our questions. I was just told to wait until I see the nurse did you take the pill at all? X

No hun i haven't been given the pill to take. I just had my amh blood taken so they could see which plan to put me on and the dosage forr my tablets. Sorry I can't help anymore xx

Hi BabyD, I was on the pill, then a down regulating jab, and then menopur for 2 wks. Dont get hung up on exact dates though as it can change depending on how your body is responding. When you go for your blood test you will probably be given all the details and instruction sheets. Good luck and try not to stress over the hows and when too much xx

It's so difficult as I'm self employed so I can't phone in sick or take medical leave it's so frustrating as it just makes the process even more difficult than it already is xx
