Just sharing a quick update for anyone who’s following my first ivf journey.
I am on day 7 of injections and I had a scan this morning. My follicles are growing. I have to continue with my injections and have another scan tomorrow. Hopefully EC will be early-middle of next week.
I have pcos so follicles may take longer. They have to monitor me close to make sure I don’t over stimulate.
Anyone else want to share how their cycle is going? X

I had my injection started off with 125mi (2 viles) and after my first scan I was increased to three viles (200mi) and then my foliciles were growing slowly then last scan I was increased to 4 viles (275mi) but before my EC was due to be done it was postponed to let my foliciles grow and thankfully two days later I was ready & I got 11 eggs 4 fertilised and 2 were at blastocyst stage. One worked and the other one has been frozen for a later date ! So don’t worry about the size and quality of foliciles they’ll slowly increase your dosage if they want to see bigger foliciles. Some women just take longer to grow folicles.
I’m currently on 200IU of Gonal f per day and ask cetrotide. Thank you for your reply! It’s so nice to hear a positive story. I have pcos so I think that’s just an added worry for me. I’m going to ask abit more at my scan today because I didn’t really ask yesterday how many I have. Xx
I have pcos too! MY only fertility issue is that I don’t ovulate, everything else is fine. So injections made me do this and create eggs. My first IVF worked yes, and I’m currently 5weeks & 4 days, just waiting for my 1st scan. More symptoms at kicking in now - latest one is having to wake up around 2/3times in middle of night for a wee. I asked my specialist/nurse about the dosages and they were excellent. X
I think that’s the same issue for me. Wow amazing that it worked first time. You must feel so lucky. Hope everything goes well for you. Fingers crossed for me too 💕🤞 xx
They did but only to make me aware of the symptoms. thankfully I didn’t. I increased my dosage about 3 times but they do it gradually I think so they lessen the risk of OSS. X
Maybe it’s just because I have pcos they are just making me aware. My left ovary is looking very busy at the moment. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing now! X
Yes I think we have a slightly higher risk of getting it due to our pcos. One of my ovaries had more eggs than the other if I remember rightly one had 18 eggs the other had 9. But the one that had 9 in I had a big cyst. You’ll be fine ! X
Scan this morning showed things are slowly growing. One ovary is much busier than the other. They keep saying about making sure I don’t over stimulate..makes me think I’m likely to because they keep on saying it 😞 Just worried that things aren’t going to be a smooth run for me. Not ready at all for EC yet..another scan Friday so praying I will be ready then for EC next week 🙏🙏
