Can I take primrose oil capsules whilst on metformin for my blood sugar and pcos?

Hi I was wondering if anyone can help me I was told by my nest friend that primrose oil is good for helping increase your fertility and I was wondering whether or not it safe to take whilst I'm on metaformin

Hi kristina281192. I have never heard of any interactions with primrose oil and the drug Metformin, so I am sure it is safe to take. Obviously, you can always check with your GP beforehand. Good luck! Diane

I take metformin for diabetes and I started on a combined epo and starflower oil this week. So far no problems and I feel absolutely fine, so I imagine you'd be ok xx

Thank you its just I'm tryih to increase my fertility as I kept thinking I'm pregnant and turn out not to be its heartbreaking really because we want a child so bad we been trying for three years no and still no luck only just been referred to fertility clinic.

Some of the girls on here take Zita west supplements. Why don't you do another post asking for fertility tips. I'm sure all the experts on here will be happy to help xx
