Silly question?

This is a really silly question so sorry in advance. I have EC on Friday and have been told to start taking pessaries from that evening. What exactly are they for?!? And do you take them front or back?!

In short it helps keep AF away and helps prevent miscarriage. You can normally take them front or back hun which ever you feel most comfortable with. X

Personally I found the back easier as the front can tend to get more messy. Theres no time to wait 5/10 minutes to see if it doesn't come back out especially when you're out and about so the back was easier if you know what i mean.

Hello

They contain progesterone which is basically the hormone that your body produces naturally to maintain a pregnancy. I used mine at the front. They're fine but a bit yucky! 🙈

Recommended wearing a pantie liner as the leak & have ruined a good few pairs of pants with them.

I just had egg collection yesterday and took my very first cyclogest pessary 2 hours before my appointment. I think front is easier. Sitting in a squat position also makes it easier to insert it in. Feels a bit uncomfortable at first but then you forget about it. Hope this helps when you need to do yours! Good luck! x

I was left a bit sore after EC but recovering nicely today. I got 'the' call today saying out of my 25 eggs 17 fertilised nicely and will be kept till blastocyst stage for my transfer booked next Monday! Ahhhh.. it is all happening!!! So now I just need to relax and prepare by body best I can till ET! Good luck for tmrw!! Wishing u lots of eggs to you too!! xx

Hi! I did mine front. They are fine but def wear panty liners as they do leak. They are messy but don't hurt or anything at all . Good luck! Xxxxx

I did mine at the front immediately before going to bed. They absorbed overnight and there was a little mess the next morning but during the day it was only like a little bit of extra discharge. I thought they were better than the cream that I had to use for the 10 days before EC!

It went well I was put to sleep so didn't feel anything in a bit of pain now though. How was yours?

Oh god i thought waiting until 11am was bad enough!! We will decide on monday whether to transfer 2 back or wait until Wednesday to transfer 1 blast. Good luck for your fertilisation result, sending positive vibes your way 💖 xx

Got the call! Out of the 17 eggs 16 were mature enough for fertilisation and 8 have fertilised 😁😁

They have booked me in provisionally for Monday but will give me a call first thing Monday to let me know if they are letting them go to day 5! I'm so happy the first hurdle is over with now onto the next 😁 Xx
