Hi
I was weighed. I also had my blood pressure checked and was tested to check I don't smoke.
My medication to down regulate was sent in the post but, I took the nasal spray rather than injections for this part. I was shown how to inject after my baseline scan (which they give you to check the initial meds to down regulate have worked).
Good luck x
My first appointment was more blood tests, internal scan, height weight, urine sample 2nd appointment was where we discussed the protocol I will be on and did all the paperwork, 3rd appointment next week is more blood tests for us both and my teach appointment then I am hoping we start on my next period. I think every clinic varies slightly. Good luck x
How long did you have to wait for your 2nd app where you discussed protocol? I'm just concerned as its all taking so long .
I felt like that and still do, first appointment was Oct then Dec and next one next week. But from first going to see out GP that was over a year ago now. Hang in there I know all the waiting is frustrating xxx
Mimi77 it might seem like it's taking long but once you get started, it flies!
We were both weighed on first appt, had blood test and a scan..
Good luck with your journey x
Our first appointment was all systems go! got weighed and blood pressure check (just me not other half) no smoking test... saw consultant had scan then drugs ordered then next period it all started ! We found once the first appointment was done it goes very fast!
no dont worry we went for our second IVF go yesterday and they weighed me and I was 30.3 BMI so not good but I said I was loosing and they were ok. Im on a mission now though! My advise drink shed loads of water the day before as in all day im having 3-4 liters a day on my diet and it really does help shift the lbs!
Ideally the closer you can get to a BMI of 25 the better odds of it working so thats my aim but we are on a waiting list now for donor eggs and could be up to a 9 month wait but Im getting the bulk of with a VLCD (Exante) and then will eat healthily after I got a couple of stone off x
The clinic yesterday said she expects it to a point as Christmas etc so dont worry im sure it will be ok just tell them you are aware and on it !
I think it must vary at clinics,as we were not weighed, have to go on pill when I get my period then blood tests,in March start the injection, seems like all systems go. Good luck to us all on the baby train xx
