Me and my partner are going to our first ivf appointment this coming thursday at a nhs uk fertility clininc in manchester. Think its just the pre examination and test before seeing consultant.
Has anyone else been throught this and what can we expect on this first appointment ?
Pcos for me and low sperm count for partner. Tried over 5 years
I am waiting for my first appointment too(waiting list team)..I am eager to know about what to expect as well.

Hi, from memory I had blood tests and then an internal scan. My husband did a sperm sample (although I think that might have been on a separate day for us). We were told we’d get the results at our initial appointment with the consultant which would be 6 months later. Sounds like you guys have already had investigations done beforehand like we had so shouldn’t be anything too different. And yes we had all the gynaecology side done so now its just what ever they want us to start with
Ah great, sorry you’ll be ahead of where I got up to then. We ended up going private during the long wait between appointments (ours fell during all the doctor strikes last year which meant we kept having unexpected delays). We’re currently on our third transfer and in the TWW. Having standard protocol and done the transfers back to back. How you feeling about it all xxx
