So I have my first IVF consultation this Saturday with a private clinic. Am Nervous, yet a part of me is happy for making this step. We have some of our test results from the NHS and some tests we did privately so I am hoping that these will count on the day. What I would like to know is what to expect from this consultation and if anybody could give me a list of any key questions to ask please. Will they tell me how successful IVF will be? Will they do more tests on the day? if so, what are these tests? what happens after the consultation? sorry to ask so much, appreciate your time and thanks for reading my post x

Hi there, I had my first one on Tuesday I don't know if it's the same for all clinics but I had another internal scan, they checked how many eggs I had, my ulterus and check the size of my womb and my overies. We then saw the Doctor and went over the process of ivf and what was best path for us to get pregnant. I didn't ask Succes rates as had it on website but I'm sure they'll be more than happy to answer any questions. She went through diet, info on Zika virus and loads of forms and info on the process and when they should happen ect... all in all we were there an hour and the next time I have to ring them is when I come on my period so they can book me in for next part. Hope this helps, good luck with your journey xxx
Thank you for your advice, I am going to write down some questions today. I think they will make us do tests as well so need to prepared for that. Good luck on your journey too xx
