I would say so, but it's not a negative many women bleed heavily and are fine. You should get s positive on a hpt now.

I tested early on 9dp3dt transfer and it was a BFN , to frightened to test again untill otd which is the 23rd ! The thought of poas makes me feel sick atm. I know deep down its probs to late for implantation and its just af starting to show her nasty face 😣 this process has been so hard , but iv not cried which i though i would of so maybe im stronger than i thought ! Thanks for replying tantam1 i just needed to talk to somebody and try work out whats going on xx

When are you due to test? Isn't the test due on 14 days past transfer? it could be the start of your period but don't lose hope until you get a bfn. Implantation normally occurs between 6 & 10 days.

Good luck

My otd is 23rd dec which i thought was longer than others , dont know why my clinic make me wait so long ! I thought it may be af showing its ugly face ..today its becoming a lil darker but only when i wipe , sorry tmi.. x

That is weird why they said so long, my test day is 11 days after transfer which seems early compared to others. Unless they think it'll be completely accurate then. Going by what nystercia said between 6 and 10 then surely you can test now, I'd give them a call and ask?xx

I think the length of time a test date is partly depends if they do beta or poas. Poas takes longer to show up. Some hospitals also like a long test date to reduce the chance of a false result (particularly if a chemical pregnancy). In theory 9dp3dt is too early to test but you should be ok now. I can understand why you wouldn't want to though if it is a bfn and then you have to go through the pain of testing again on 23rd. Good luck with whatever you decide x

Hi daydreamer, spotting is normal you may well of had a late implanter so wouldn't have shown up when you tested early. I had spotting on day 5-8 got v.faint positive 9dp3dt so I might have had implantation at start, since then iv also had spotting on day 10-13 not sure why but it did scare me but then again I had 2embryos transferred. The first lot of spotting was a dark brown on and off just when wiping, the second lot of spotting has been light brown/beige when i wipe but stopped yesterday but back today. I'm 13dp3dt today and have done a first response test everyday and line getting darker (still bit lighter than other line). iv also had a bad belly/cramps and a heavy pulling feeling low on middle of stomach as well as a twitching pain a few times near left ovary area and near left kidney in my back, boobs hurt day 5-10 but now just lil tender and heavy. That's just my symptoms tho I'd imagine everyone is different. Iv known people on here not to test positive until test day or others had no symptoms and had a bfp. I have my beta tomorrow morning so nervous for a good result. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you I so hope you get your bfp, il be watching for an update. Don't give up until you know your result. Big hugs xxxxxxxxx

Thanks for ur replies ladies , i have phoned my clinic and left a voicemail, just waiting for them to ring me back now to see what i should do. This not knowing whats going on inside our bodies is torture 😕 could it really be a late implanter at this stage ?? I thought it would be way to late ? Part of me hopes it is and the other part says its just af ..i am using a sanitary towel atm to see how much im loosing but its only when i wipe that i see some blood ! Very strange , surely if it was af it would of been full flow by now ? Flossy , good luck for your beta will be thinking of you :) who knows ur 2 lil embies could of implanated ☺ how amazing would that be! Atm i just feel like my body will never accept a baby thats why im petrified to test again after seeing a bfn at 9dp3dt...will keep u updated what the clinic says when i hear back off them ..thank you guys xxxx

Thankyou, I'm just so nervous to get my beta. It might do yeah, it could have implanted days ago and the blood just coming away now possibly. I still have a bit coming away on and off only when wiping. Oh I have my fingers and toes crossed for you 😊. If you end up caving and do a test I would use a first response test more reliable. When I tested on day 9 I used a cheap Tesco test with blue dye and it looked totally negative, it was only when it dried I noticed a mega faint line that I had to squint to see, I went and bought a first response and it showed up far clearer. What test did you use on day9? I'm always naughty and test early tho, if you can wait until test day I would as early testing often doesn't show up and causes stress and upset and sometimes for nothing. Good luck, hope the clinic get back to you soon. Fingers crossed for you on test day xxx 💗✨🎅🎁

Hi daydreamer89. I just thought I would add some comments about pregnancy testing, spotting and implantation bleeds. As a general rule, implantation of your embryo(s) occurs at around 5 days after transfer if embryos are transferred at around 4-8 cell stage. So sometimes day 4 or even day 6 depending on their sizes. Blastocyst transfers (Day 5) implant usually on the day of transfer, as they are ready to “pop out” of their shells. Regarding implantation pain and/or bleeds. This doesn’t always occur. Some women do get “twinges” or indeed a tiny bright red bleed at around this time; others don’t, so I’m afraid that there isn’t any “norm”. Occasionally, a tiny brownish “bleed” occurs, which is just due to old blood coming away from the procedure of egg collection etc. This usually shows up when you wipe yourself after going to the loo and is nothing to worry about and usually disappears after a couple of days. Your clinic will have advised you as to when to do a pregnancy test for a reason, and we shouldn’t be tempted by using early pregnancy testing kits. I realise that it is a difficult time waiting for the correct testing date to arrive, but do try and be patient. Whether you bleed or not during the waiting time, always continue with any progesterone medication if it has been prescribed until you definitely know that the treatment cycle has failed. Some women have two embryos returned after treatment, with one sometimes causing a bleed, so we need to protect the second one. This all boils down to a stressful wait and patience. Diane

I would imagine leading upto Xmas they will be very busy fitting everything in before Santa comes. Thank you daydreamer hopefully I will relax after tomorrow 😊. Keeping my fingers crossed for you, definately hold off until test day if you can, it'll be a lovely suprise if u get good news, here's hoping! 💗 Like Diane said we are given a test date for a reason, and to be honest wether the test stick shows negative or positive it causes worry either way until test day. I actually wish I'd of waited. Your better off relaxing for the next 2days, watch some Xmas films to take your mind off things and pass the time. Sending big hugs and huge good luck xxx 💗🎅✨🎁
