I had a consultation with my consultant today and we agreed it was time to move on from ovulation induction and to IVF. I'm going back next week to discuss things further but I wondered if anyone can help with some wuestions we have?
What is the general process now? What steps are usually involved? how long is the process generally? I'm thinking of taking some leave from work during the whole process. Has anyone else done this?
Really hope to hear from anyone who can help!
Thanks,
Vicky.

Welcome to the journey. Times can differ depending on your area. You may go next week and sign the forms and they will discuss with you the cycle.
How the cycle works you ring when your period starts and they will calculate your medication in total the cycle is on average 6 weeks. After your egg collection you will need at least the following day off and also the egg transfer you will need to take the following day off. Some people take the two week wait off but by this time you have properly had a lot of time off for appointments and scans so this may depend on your work place.
Good luck be prepared for the emotional rollercoaster a dollop of hope that can often end up in disappointment.
Thanks for your reply Kirdrew. Really appreciated. I am trying to prepare myself for that rollercoaster, to be honest the whole journey so far has felt like that. Everytime we tried something new I would feel so excited only to be so bitterly disappointed. Just got to keep going though!
