I have been taking ovulation tests and it shows that I do ovulate but it's every over month (sometimes less). What do you think they will offer me at my first consult and is there any questions you would advise I ask?

Hi BabyloveS. I hope you don’t have to wait too long for your first consultation. As you ovulate irregularly, they may want to try you on a drug called Clomid, which will hopefully get you to ovulate regularly again. However, they may want to carry out a check on your Fallopian tubes first, just to make sure there is not a problem with any blockage before you start. I hate to mention it, but often women with polycystic ovaries have a tendency to put on weight. If you are a bit overweight (apologies if you are not), do try and work at losing it, as it will be the first thing they mention – unfortunately. There’s lots that can be offered you with this condition, so I do wish you well with whatever is decided for you. Diane
