I recently noticed that I don’t ovulate, even when I’ve done my first ivf cycle I didn’t ovulate,my dr knew that but I was never informed 😕
They could gave me medications for that instead of jumping for ivf as they checked everything and there was no problem so I guess this is my problem and that’s why I couldn’t convince these years. Anyone had/has this problem and what your dr told?
Hope you all doing good ❤️xoxo

Hi Anna. I don’t or didn’t ovulate. We’ve been ttc for 6 years. I discovered this early in the process as I was using home ov kits in the first 6 months. Went to GP, she did some tests and 3 months later referred me to a gynaecologist. He put me on clomid for 9 months (with some pauses in between) which did cause me to ovulate but I still didn’t fall pregnant. So next stop was IVF. I’ve since discovered I either have a poor egg reserve (despite those tests saying it’s good), or don’t don’t respond well to the IVF stimulation meds, as in our 2nd and 3rd Ivf we only got 1 egg! Don’t feel too disheartened as you very much still have options, but I know when I was at the point you are now I was devastated. Talk to your gynae about what all your options are - if you don’t want to go straight to IVF you are entitled to the clomid if doc thinks all else is good.
Hi lovely, thanks for the reply. I don’t know why they didn’t prescribe me clomid to see if it works or not instead of jumping to ivf. They collected 9 eggs on my cycle which ended up 2 embryos one which I had and faild and one frozen. I reader try clomid first then go for my next round. I’ll ask my dr. Good luck to you too xxx
That’s terrible you should’ve been informed. I’m so angry on your behalf.
Don’t panic; I know it was a shock but there are things they can do.
They prescribed clomid for me ( originally they thought my cycle abnormalities were PCO wasn’t it was endometriosis) when my 4th round failed ( this is because I had undiagnosed endometriosis growing on my back of my uterus ;nothing would’ve worked) my fertility specialist suggested drilling my ovaries as part of my laparoscopy and dye as well as looking for/ treating endometriosis.
Have your tubes been checked? If they are clear you should be able to be given clomid. I’ definitely think it’s worth a try 😘
By the way my cousin has PCO ( and she doesn’t naturally ovulate) but she had clomid and has a little boy thanks to clomid it can work xoxo
I am fuming jess😔 so unprofessional. I start thinking maybe have PCOS or endo. They always asked me if my period is regular and I told I have it every 28 days and 2 or 3 times per year it’s 24 25 days and they said it’s ok. I don’t know about my tubes never checked. I spoke to my Gp today she said she’ll call them and will let me know, I called yesterday by myself left a message still waiting to call me back. It’s near a month since they told my husband that they’ll send me a letter. I’ll see my counselor next Monday I’ll ask her to see if she can help me (she works with fertility department and know the head nurse)
My periods were regular too but definitely in my case had many abnormalities that any test couldn’t explain until the laparoscopy.
I’m sorry you have this experience with your clinic; glad you moved clinics. Your first clinic sound like mine; mine failed to diagnose me properly too and I went through 5 years 10 months of infertility and 3 years of serious cycle issues no gynaecologist could explain; it was the gynae who referred me to his colleague for infertility. It’s absolute crap people like us suffer because some people can’t do their jobs properly it’s a joke 😡
At least it’s been found now and hopefully this will be you one step closer towards having a baby 🤞🏻
Hope you hear soon glad your GP is being supportive 😘 xoxo
So obviously the regular period doesn’t mean we ovulate. I personally didn’t know that.
My clinic is a proper s*t , just told my husband I rather have no clinic than them and I’ll never ever go with them again even if I ended up with no baby. Can’t get it tbh if they don't like their job why they doing it and make up upset and hopeless🤬
Isn't it funny that I found out why I can’t convince by myself after all these years🤦🏻♀️, but as you said at least it’s been found.
Thanks lovely hope to hear your good news soon🤞🏻xoxo
