1st failed FET 💔

Hi Everyone

I’m Zoey, 32 with “skinny pcos” & immune problems. Been trying to conceive since I got married in 2012. Finally got pregnant in 2016 via IVF which resulted in my daughter. Last month I tried to put one of my frozen embies back. I had 4 in the freezer. The first thawed but didn’t grow the second they put back and resulted in a BFN. I am so heartbroken and thought it would be easier the second time around. I don’t want to take a break as soon as AF shows I want to do another FET. Am thinking maybe to put both embies back this time. If anyone has any second time round fet advice or success stories, I’d really appreciate it. I feel awful and I’m scared I’ll have to do a fresh cycle again which is not what I want at all.

Love Z x

Hello Zoey sorry to hear that. I would advise you put one embryo and even your clinic will suggest you put in one embryo. I was advised you can easily get pregnant with one than two. I had one and I had a positive pregnancy. Good luck

Hey guys,

Thanks for the advice. It’s interesting you’re both suggesting one embie despite the failed fet. My clinic also suggest one. They keep telling me I’m young and fertile which I’m clearly not! Tywobag, was there anything you did extra that resulted in the positive?

Xx

I just have one question did u get medicated uterine preparation before embryo transfer and when it was bfn ,how much bleeding or heavy menses it was?

Just to offer a different experience, I had a double FET of 2 top grade day 5 blastocysts after my fresh cycle ended in a miscarriage at 6 weeks. My clinic actually recommended the double transfer despite me being 30 at the time and with a diagnosis of unexplained infertility. Anyway, I'm now 27 weeks along with just the one baby so I'm really glad we went for the double transfer. I would try to ask for the double transfer or ask them to further explain their reasons for not wanting you to have one x
