Is it normal to be experiencing little stabbing type pains? I tested positive Monday after our first go a ICSI and have little stabbing pains and wondered if this is ok. Its been happening every since the transfer.

Hi LRH001. It’s not uncommon to experience some discomfort following IVF/ICSI. Remember that you have had a lot of pulling and tugging about during egg collection and embryo transfer. Hopefully, it will all soon settle down. Have a little rest when you can, and don’t do anything too strenuous for a few days. Drink plenty of water, and should it worsen, you will need to see your GP just to check all is well. Diane
I've had lots of twinges and 'pulls' as Diane explained. I've never been in pain but I am definitely pregnant and I just put it down to all the changes going on. Good idea to rest when you can though. So pleased about your result!
Hey girls, I had this on and off the first couple of months whilst ovaries were settling back down plus uterus starting to grow and stretch. I'm now 18w pregnant and all is well so try not to worry - it does get easier I promise ! Xx
Hi, I've had lots of twinges too since BFP, nothing painful, just like you describe and all is well with me As Magic80 says it is your uterus expanding and the little embie getting comfy xxx
