My husband and i have been trying for a baby for 8 years and been with the fertility clinic 6yrs.I have had several ops, scans, clomid and everything. I have endometriosis and the last couple of months I have been in hospital twice with the pain. I take tramadol, buscopan, codine, oramorph, ibuprofen, paracetamol and all sorts but nothing touches it. The last few months the pain is everyday. Now they have found more polyps in my womb so I can't have ivf untill I've had another op. Last time I had an op they burnt all my womb lining and bowel and caused sepsis so I got rushed back into hospital where I stayed for over a week! I just feel is this going to ever happen. 8 years later and nothing everything just seems to get worse and I'm worried ill never fall pregnant. My heart goes out to everyone who is struggling to get the one thing every woman should be able to have. I feel bad always putting it on my husband as I know he finds it hard too. Xx

Hello, I've just joined!
Hi sami-lou,I know how frustrating and upsetting it can be.i feel to sometimes that my partner has to go through alot,im hormonal, upset,I shut myself off sometimes but remember he is there to support you and you are going through this together.i am very lucky,I have a four year old son after 3 years of trying and failed clomid.we re currently trying again,we tried for a year,I got pregnant but had a miscarriage, tried for another year after that, nothing.im currently on metformin,im going to start clomid next month and I hope it works but every part of the journey takes so long.i know you must feel frustrated, youve got the opportunity to start ivf but have to wait and the fact you had problems with your last op doesnt help but take each step at a time, deal with that and then you can concentrate on your ivf.have you got a date for your op yet?good luck with everything and stay positive.xx
