I'm having my embryo transfer tomorrow and have mixed emotions, do you have to stay in bed for a couple of days afterwards.

Hi gill76. Just to wish you well with the transfer tomorrow. No need to stay in bed for a couple of days, but do have a rest when you can and no lifting. You will have been through lots of treatment, so you need a little time for yourself. Drink plenty of water and remember to use the progesterone pessaries/cream if they have been prescribed for you. The weather forecast is good for a few days, so it won’t harm you to go for a walk or just laze around! All the best. Diane

Hi jill76 I hope your transfer went well, I had mine on wed. I relaxed on the sofa and went to bed early the past 2days only due to still feeling quite sore/bloated and tired from egg collection due to having 26follicles drained but was told to just carry on with daily activities as normal where possible to keep good blood flow but to listen to my body and rest when needed. Also had a good tip on here to avoid strenuous exercise and heavy lifting and try getting out for a nice leisurely walk in the nice weather. Good luck with the 2week wait :) xx
