I have mild pcos (just started on metformin), no other problems identified, clomid and letrozole both unsucessful, good amh for my age (33), first ivf good response but bfn and just had fet on sat. Does there come a point where they try to find out the cause of no pregnancy? Is anyone else in a similar position?

Hi Hun I don't think they know why some woman can't get pregnant Its just unexplained unfortunately which doesn't exactly help. I'm unexplained, it's frustrating as you blame yourself and haven't any control over anything. :-(. All I get from people is "it will happen" grrrrrr!!! I do try and stay positive though & fingers crossed for you too Hun. X
Thaaaanks. I think I'm going to struggle to accept that it can't b explained when there is more than likely some reason or other. I'm trying to put it out my mind for now because we still have a way to go yet. I'm glad we haven't told many people cos I hate the - it's will happen - story!
Oh I hate it when people tell me to just relax it will happen. Or another one I've heard is I obviously ain't doing it right wtf!!! Lol. I just tell people I'm enjoying a few more hols first find it easier than having to tell them the real reason cos most people don't really understand x
Hi there, no issue with male side?
I too have been diagnosed with unexplained infertility so have an idea how u feel. It's rubbish diagnose to get. obviously there's a reason for it, otherwise u would fall pregnant. I'm very convinced there is a reason y I
Haven't fallen 2 years 8 months, roll on June cos we're seeing our consultant to get our ivf referral(going private don't get nhs funding). I have heard good success stories from fet sometimes it's less stress on the body then 'normal ivf' Good luck with it all I hope u get ur BFP let me know how u get on fingers crossed for u X x x
Thanks jess, I'm glad it's not just me! Good luck with ur appt in June.x
Thanks Hun will def keep u posted let's hope it's babies all round X x x
Hi I'm due for a FET next month and on my first round of IVF had what I thought was a BFN only to end up in a and e a week later having an early miscarriage! Anyway my consultant advised me that after three attempts they start to look in more detail at NK cells, embryo viability etc!! I had a 5bb transferred and was told it was great but look what happened, my point is that when I asked him why he said that they can not see under a microscope which embryo is chromosomsally normal and even though it made it to day 5 and structurally ok they don't run more tests as most embryos released naturally are chromosomsally abnormal hence the reason to try for pregnancy for 2 years!!! It's frustrating isn't it but at this consultation I had hundreds of questions for him, and the truth is for me anyway is it feels like chance!!! I'm going ahead with a natural FET which one have you done???? Did you have the endo scratch???? I wish you all the luck in the world x x
