Go for natural, it avoids any drugs xx

Hi Danielle, thank you for your reply!!! Have you been through this before, just wondered why you thought natural?? I'm guessing it's because it's the nearest thing to your body doing it's own work??? X

Hi NikkiNak79 I nearly did have a frozen natural cycle but it didn't go ahead because I have something wrong with my fallopian tube that is a risk to embryos so I am going in to hospital to get the tube removed before I have the embryos implanted. Natural cycles are for those her ovulate every month regular so if you do then take the opportunity of the natural cycle without any drugs. Good Luck with what you decide x

Hi Danielle I do! Have my appointment on the 30 so will work it all out then! Thank you I hope your journey continues with success x x

Thanks and all the best with your frozen cycle, How many embryos did you get to freeze? x

Had two to freeze! We are yet to find out what happened to the rest as when we went for blasto transfer on day 5 they said there were 7 then all of a sudden we got a letter the following week saying only 2 made it!!! Yet they were all at blasto stage kind of wondering as if it's NHS they only store so many sick of not having answers! X

That sounds strange to me but the way I think they have done it is that they will only store the embryos they think will have the potential to survive the thawing process, I would definitely ask about this. It may be that your clinic has very strict rules about freezing top quality Blastocysts and didn't want to give you false hope but in another way if they were all blastocysts at the time then I would of chosen to keep hold of them. Try not to worry as there must be a good enough reason. I was told the clinic I am with will not store poor embryos on the NHS and if you decide against there recommendations then you have to pay for them to be frozen. You deserve your answers and you should get in touch with them. x

Thank you I will definitely be asking!!!!! When is your op booked for??? X

hi all, Nikkinak it sounds as though they only froze the ones that were good enough, I know that sounds horrible. When I was at the stage, although private, the day I had ETthey said I only had one to freeze, but they would see how the others did overnight. I ended up with 5 frosties, and they said that they would not freeze blasts below a certain quality. Not sure if it differs on the NHS.

I was told by my clinic (had review on 3 april) that they recommend a natural frozen cycle, as I am below age 38 and ovulate regularly (no issues with me) .Was slighly annoyed as was told in the consultation that we could start straight away and have FET on next cycle, but when I emailed to double-check this, the SAME consultant stated we should have one 'normal' cycle first, before FET!! Glad I double checked.

Glad am doing a natural cycle as will hopefully feel normal and relaxed and not totally drained which is how I felt when had ET folllowing natural cycle.

Lots of love

Hi Jenny

It's just a minefield isn't it!!! I was told that they like you to have a break in between too!!! I'm grateful to have 2 as I know so many that didn't have any to freeze. We are back at the end if this month so hoping to find out when we get started. Seeing as I'm waiting on a cycle now I'm guessing I won't be starting the FET till the end of May! My first IVF was originally a negative then a week or so later I was in a and e with terrible pains only to be told I was having a miscarriage! So after that I had a bleed two weeks later, who knows what that was:) then this should be my first proper cycle since the miscarriage!! Have you had anything different following your failed ivf? I mean like this month I have never ever had such bad body odour in my life, it's calmed down now but phhheeeww thank goodness it's gone! Where about's are you in the country? Are you starting your FET this month x

I also prefer the sound of the natural FET! As I was not good after taking all the drugs I started to bleed three days before test date assumed it was period then test date negative I think it was too much for my body to handle!!! X

Hi Nikki, I'm really sorry I didnt reply to this until now! I dont think I had an email saying you'd responded, or if I did I missed it.

The only thing I noticed following my failed fresh cycle was feeling absolutely tired and drained, which took a while to wear off!

Where are you up to now? I'm in the middle of monitoring scans/urine tests to detect ovulation. Then they add 48 hours plus the age of the embryo (5 days) then I'll have ET.

Im at Care Manchester, where are you?
