What on Earth am I meant to do with myself?

Oh just keep busy!! I’ve said it to about a million people on here in their 2WW. But how?? How do you actually stop thinking about the potential sitting inside you? How are you meant to just go about your day without squealing at strangers ‘I’ve got a grade 5AA hatching blastocyst in my uterus!!!’ 😂😂 totally pointless post, just going mad already, AND IT’S ONLY DAY 1! Please don’t judge me 🙈🙈🙈

Oh kitcat I hear you! I completely lost the plot during the wait. Yes, keep busy - I would add particularly doing things you enjoy, as that tends to be more absorbing. But it's ok to go loopy - the time will pass whatever happens. Good luck! xxx

Thanks my dear! We’re going to go to Manchester Xmas markets this weekend and I have a dance class that I usually go to on a Tuesday (had to miss it last week because of EC) and we do a pub quiz with friends every Wednesday night so I do have a few things going on to keep me busy 👌🏻x

I'm over halfway through now. Time is DRAGGING!!

I had these plans that I would keep busy doing some online courses I've been wanting to do for work but I have zero concentration for anything that's not about conception.

Work has been really quiet too, wouldn't you know. I prefer to be busy so time passes faster.

I don't live in the UK and in my 2ww wait we've had 2 (2!!) bank holidays - but money's tight so no going out or getting away anywhere. No drinking obviously. No swimming pool and no sunbathing to avoid raising body temperature (it's start of summer here). Doc said not to do anything that would disturb the uterus or divert blood flow so I've been giving pilates and the gym a miss... I've mainly been sleeping a lot and puttering about reading other people's experiences on here!!

Oh wow! Sounds like your clinic has you on a pretty strict regime. I’m so glad I’ve just been told to get on with things as normal, I would go mad if I couldn’t go to the gym and to my dance classes. Luckily I have a really busy job, I’m a primary school teacher; so the days go really quickly and I only have the evenings to fill. I wish you all the best of luck for the rest of your 2WW! x

I used to teach so I can imagine how your time is flying by. Giving class I often didn't even realise I needed the loo until breaktime so it will definitely take your mind off things during class hours!!

I was wondering to myself the other day how I would have coped with IVF if I was still at the school - managing to find the time to take all the hormones on time. Not to mention progesterone has turned me into the incredible hulk, I'm on the verge of rage all the time!!

😂😂 my school have been very supportive with time off, thankfully! It’s definitely not an easy job to do while injecting stims, as I was just exhausted all the time. Only issue I’ve had with progesterone is my skin being horrendously spotty, like a teenager, it’s disgusting!

Yeah, I've had a break out too. And I'm hungry ALL THE TIME. But I've heard people having a much worse time on the hormones and to be honest my husband suffers worse than me 'cos he's on the receiving end of me snapping at him all the time right now!!

Sounds like what my clinic said too! I was told not to shower for 10 days. Not to even dip my feet in water, if I had to go out in the heat to use umbrella, I was even told how to sneeze... the result has been amazing, my twins sleeping in the same room as me.

Hi Kitcat 12,I hear you😘.I am on day 7 past 5 day top quality hatching transfer and going mad🤯.xxxx

6dp5dt FET here and am in the same boat! First day back at work today and I’ve done nothing due to complete lack of concentration!! Ha... This is my 3rd 2WW but it doesn’t get any easier! Good luck for you over the next 2 weeks 🍀🤞🏻 Xxx

Thank you lovely, hopefully it’s a positive outcome for both of us. Then the wait and all the meds, side effects and painful treatments will have been worth it! Good luck to you🍀 x

I can understand that this can be a very exciting few days. However, the uncertainties are always there. I would really suggest that you make a proper schedule. Just follow it and keep your mind busy. Doing yoga and exercise helps a lot. Read books and watch videos as well. I hope its a BFP. Good luck to you.

You are not alone I am 7dp5dt and my test date is Friday at the clinic I’m having a blood test! I just want it to be here now. Good luck and do whatever makes you happy xxx

Oh bless you!!!! It's exciting, confusing and the slowest two weeks of anyone's life... good luck and bring out all the books and make phone calls to friends and catch up...

I tested myself on day 6!!!! I just couldn't wait... lol I ordered myself 200 of the cheapie and 10 of the expensive HPT... lol...

I read you have a dance class coming up, please avoid anything that is physically tiring for now... I was told to not even sit for long during my 2ww, and to sit tilted... I guarantee you these things count cause I've got my embroyo 1 blowing his little breaths on my face while I type and the other in the cot.

Good luck sweets you'll be in my prayers.

I feel your pain Kitcat12. Just day 4 into the 2ww and I’m between contracts so at home with the dog and like many others, I’m under strict instructions to reduce exercise.

Enjoy the plans you have and good luck to everyone xx

Hey there! I m glad that the pieces of the puzzle are getting in place for you. This 2WW is one of the hardest time i have heard about. Most of my friends were having nervous breakdowns during this time. Just take good care of yourself and don't stress much. Stress can have a bad impact on your chances. GoodLuck!
