I have always been overweight with PCOS. My first ivf treatment was successful but needed to freeze all due to COVID. I was under the impression my clinic won’t do FET until September and due to lockdown gained abit of weight. My bmi is now 31 and I am very nervous about FET and whether or not implantation will occur.

I have a BMI of 31 and doing FET. Really nervous!
My BMI was the same and I got pregnant with DE (so same procedure as FET) just ear healthy and lay off booze you will be fine xx
Hi mine was 32 when I had my transfer and I'm now 29 weeks pregnant x
My BMI was 33.8 in January when I had my FET. I am now 30 weeks pregnant! I don’t particularly eat healthy either but Iv never really drank alcohol or smoked.
Best of luck to you!! Xx
same here! I had a fresh cycle in Feb which sadly ended in a missed miscarriage. I am now due to start a FET and have appt tomorrow to get Prostap injection. Obviously before I started my last cycle my bmi was below 30 but now after the hormones and lockdown its currently sitting about 30.7, does anyone know if the nhs will go ahead with this or whether they will make me come back? very stressed and anxious about this even though Im eating healthy, find myself obsessing with the scales and constantly weighing myself
Hey
I have just got my FET date for next week and my BMI is 31.6.
The nurses said it’s okay however I should aim to eat healthy
I’m sure you will be okay. Best of luck and prayers!
Hi. My BMI is 40 and I was told as long as the eggs are out, fertilised and in the freezer then doing the fet it doesn't matter what your weight is (obviously the lower the better though). We're going through our second round. Good luck x
Hi, could you please tell me more about what is the problem with the extra fat? Does it make it more difficult to produce eggs? |Does it not matter for the implantation?
Honestly...I'm not too sure on the science and how it's affected but I guess the more overweight you are the harder it can be. I don't think it affects the amount of eggs as my BMI is 40 and they got 22 eggs from me. Again with the implantation I don't think it's a massive issue but think at the end of the day the lower weight the better for it all but don't let it put you off
