Scratched belly on door

Hi I scratched my stomach on a door tonight, there is a visable scratch, and I got really worried in case it could cause any damage. Maybe this sounds like I'm fretting uneccessarily. Any reassurance appreciated. I am 14 weeks.

Thanks

Xx

No damage my love, your embryo is very deeply protected by your body. Try not to worry xx

Oh I bet - I would be the same after all you've been through.

I'm ok thanks love - unfortunately I had to have medical management of the mmc 2 weeks ago and I'm still testing positive so if it's not negative by next week I might have to go in for a D&C - I should have just done this to start with - we live and learn! xx

as Millbanks says - you are all good. Hooray for 14 weeks 💕💕 I had all sorts of bumps and bruises and ironically my daughter is crazy tough and hardly ever cries when she hurts herself - reckon it was all great training 😂 xx

My bump was huge from early on and I forgot it was there and was always knocking it. I even got wedged between the car and a wall. At this stage the baby is so small and well cushioned you should be absolutely fine.

Poor you! I managed to upset a mole on my belly with a laundry basket in my second trimester and it bled. Ran to the GP in panic and everything was absolutely fine😅 try not to worry, you've got this👍

No need to worry. Your baby is well protected ❤️

Your baby is well protected, lots of cushioning in the uterus and then a strong abdominal wall with several muscle layers. I fell over (on my front) while running at 10 weeks and was terrified I’d done some damage , but all was fine. I stopped running after that, but my job is quite physical and I was often getting little bumps and squeezes, bending down and worried I’d squashed my baby, but she’s 100% fine.

Congratulations, the time will fly and I found myself worrying less as my bump and baby got bigger. You’re doing brilliantly xx
