How is everyone getting on?

I hope you're all ok, whether waiting for early scans, about to deliver, or have your baby (or babies!) in arms 😘

I'm now 35 and a half weeks, so stressing a bit about my next growth scan and consultant appointment on Friday 😬 Hoping baby's percentile might have returned a LITTLE towards the centre 😂 but we'll see... This will be when the consultant looks at everything and advises us on what he'd recommend, I guess. Last time (32 weeks) he was thinking induction at 39 weeks (mainly based on age), so let's see...

I finally had the courage to really buy stuff and attend NCT classes, after months of putting things off for fear of jinxing... so am starting to feel a BIT more prepared. Think I'll be happier on Friday when we have something of a plan!

hello I am 39 weeks on Friday 😬 just away in for a scan to make plans for going forward. How are you feeling? I feel not to bad at the moment back, hip and legs are a bit achey now and my feet are swollen but apart from that can’t complain. Getting exciting though xxx good luck with ur scan xxx

Oh wow, 39 weeks! That's so exciting Boo. Do you have any idea what the plan is at present then? Glad you're feeling ok 😘 I'm generally fine really, bump massive (as everyone keeps telling me! Someone the other day charmingly said wow, hope your waters don't break in here or we'll all be flooded!! cheeky so and so 😂 ) and feels very tight and full sometimes by the end of the day, but ok. In the TMI camp, finally got a flipping haemorrhoid last week 🤬, which is stressing me out disproportionately, given everything else we've been through! But I'm just thinking argh, if we DO try for a vaginal birth that's not going to be pleasant 😳

aww man I’ve got one too 🤦‍♀️ it’s very attractive 😂 they are planning a sweep 2 days before due date and an induction at 41 weeks but will continue to monitor incase they need to bring it forward. Really hoping I just go on my own xxx

Ah I’m so glad you finally felt able to join the classes and start buying bits! They’re those huge hurdles you don’t really expect to face but that are very real after infertility. I remember bawling after we assembled my son’s pram because I was so terrified we’d jinxed it and I was about 35 weeks 🥴

I had my 32 week scan yesterday - all good but she’s measuring way ahead and I have polyhydramnios. Had both with my son so managing to not fret about it this time, he was just a big chunk. Have to repeat my GTT tomorrow morning though just in case, oh joy!

Hope your appointment goes well tomorrow, I agree you’ll probably feel much more settled with a plan. I recently booked my c section after having gone back and forth between wanting one and considering a vbac but feel much happier now a plan is in place! Xx

With my son they thought he was huge , said he was on track to be over 9lb, ended up with an elective c section (for various reasons, baby’s size being one of them), turns out he was a perfectly normal 7lb4oz but had loads of water…. But they didn’t figure that out! 🤷🏼‍♀️ all well in the end, though xx

It's nuts isn't it, you'd think they could see everything at this stage and be really accurate! Solly-44 glad you aren't too worried, after going through this before 😘 I'm quite envious of your planned c-section 😍 Having a plan sounds pretty good right now 😆 xx

generally good! Bit of back pain and sleeping a bit less good, but all of that is more than offset by all the lovely kicks and signs of life from baby 🥰 trying not to think to much more ahead than that 😊

Aww that’s all amazing!

I remember in my last pregnancy, I dared buy a single baby grow when I was 27 weeks and started crying in the store 🤦‍♀️ didn’t let the shop deliver the buggy or furniture till 34 weeks….

I’m now 10 weeks with our hopefully sibling!! 🤞🤞 all well so far, 8 week scan showed all in track, waiting for my NIPT scan next week and results the week after…. 🤞😬 x

35 weeks on Monday and expecting a caesarean at 39 weeks due to low lying placenta. Can’t wait to meet this little one! ❤️

how was your scan hun? We had a private scan, there’s definitely something in my belly! Feels very weird and we just try and put it at the back of our minds as it’s still so early x

Ah Judith I'm SO pleased to see you here 😘 You really deserve this, so glad your private scan was looking good. How far along are you?

My growth scan Friday seemed fine, baby looking well. Still looking on the larger side 😳😆 though not in giant territory yet... they reckoned she weighed about 6lb 9, so if they're right, she's going to be a bit of a chunk I fear 😍😆. Plan is to get me in again for a final scan the day before we turn 39 weeks (so a fortnight Friday) and book me in then for induction in the new few days (so will end up being induced maybe 5 days before full term). Kind of hoping she comes a bit early all by herself though! xx
