grey/brownish residue from progesterone

I’ve just turned 12 weeks and on my last days of taking the Cyclogest and Crinone pessaries. Yesterday I had quite a few aches and pains which I put down to the ligaments in my womb stretching but I’ve had a greyish/brownish residue on my panty liner (normally white/creamy) from the progesterone!

Anyone else had this it knows why/or what could be causing it? Should I be concerned?

My dating scan is on Monday.

Thanks,

Lisa

Hope it has settled down . The discomfort could be due to stretching as you say Make sure drinking plenty of fluids in case it is the beginning of a UTI/if there is a smell and colour of discharge changes you should see your GP

Hi HoneyB11, I’m so grateful to have found your post on re: grey/brown mucus, I’ve been freaking out because I have had the same since yesterday evening. I’m 18 weeks pregnant today and my obstetrician prescribed Cyclogest a couple of weeks ago to prevent preterm birth as my first baby was born two months early due to PPROM.

I’ve been going mad trying to research on the internet but so far your post was the only one. Everywhere else says mucus can be powdery white when taking Cyclogest and it was for the first week and a half.

Did you mention it to your obstetrician? Did they say it was the side effect of the Cycligest? Did you have any further issues?

Many thanks,

Alice
