Nipple vasospasm

Hi. I would like to know if anyone has been having nipple vasospasm during pregnancy?I am in deep trouble. My nipples go into severe vasospasm at the slightest time of exposure to cold.. Like even changing clothes makes me deal with a severe spasm for a good 10-15 minutes. I am using soft undergarments, and put soft socks as nipple shields all the time. I use hot water bottle to relieve the spasm.

If anyone has dealt with a similar problem successfully, please help! I am desperate for any reviews regarding breast warming pads/equipment.

Thank you!

yes! I’ve been experiencing that during the whole 2nd trimester. It’s horrible isn’t it- an ‘attack’ will only be short but it’s so bad I’ve been in tears. The only remedy I’ve come up with is to use heated pads while I’m out which helps very quickly (not official ones, just the sort for back pain) To stop it coming on I put padding in my bras and wear layers. Hope that helps 😆

Hey, sorry to know it's giving you a tough time! On my end, it's slightly improved, on its own. And I have devised ways around it now. I heat my clothes before wearing them.. Either with iron or radiator. Cover my breasts with extra layers.

This is due to hormonal changes - be sure to reduce irritation and chafing wear smooth bras-avoiding lacy trim etc As previous post says keep boobies warm -wear thin layers of clothing Speak to your midwife for more info on how to help you reduce your discomfort

Hope it settles down a bit soon

Thanks Janet. Appreciate your input. Yes, I am doing all remedies and precautions at hand. It has recently become very severe, affecting my daily life and hence mood. I ll contact my midwife about it.
