I've been using Neal's Yard Mother's Balm for stretch marks and have been really pleased with it. They say stretch marks are genetic and I do have some old ones but haven't developed any new ones during my pregnancy. I'm almost 38 weeks.

I didn't have nipple irritation early on but now that I've started expressing colostrum I'm using the serum from My Expert Midwife. It's a bit early to say whether it's working but Lansinoh nipple cream is apparently very good too.

Hi can I ask did the colostrum start by itself, or did you have to massage and squeeze to get the flow going? Thanks x

I think stretch marks are mainly genetic (not necessarily same as your Mum, but type of skin you have) but using a cream can make the stomach less itchy and help them fade more quickly. I don't think you need to pay a lot of money for special creams etc unless you want to - Neil's Yard seemed good but I found it a bit messy and got on my clothes so I used it less often and something that sinks in or a shower oil can be good. My mum swore by coco butter and she didn't have a single stretch mark (she has very differnet skin to me though). I didn't have any until about a week before I gave birth, which was a bit annoying but I think that extra growth spurt and change of baby's position (even the birth itself) can really stretch things suddenly. I used lansinoh nipple cream for breastfeeding and it was brilliant.

Hi! I use the Lansinoh Lanolin Nipple Cream. Apply after every feed and there is no need to wash it afterwards. Good luck!

I am using my midwife expert serum and I have also purchased the nipple balm for when I need it. It was recommended to me by someone on the forum and I really like it.
