Nearly 12 weeks and not showing ?

hi ladies, I’m currently 11 weeks and 5 days pregnant. My last scan was at 10 weeks and 2 days(everything looked perfect) . I’m getting anxious before my 12 weeks scan next week. ( Wednesday)

My nausea is practically gone, I still have sore breasts but I’m practically not showing at all. I felt like I was showing more earlier on than now and I’m getting anxious about it.

I do have tilted uterus and wondering if this might be the reason why I’m not showing?

Just wondering when you ladies started showing and if it’s normal not to show yet?

Any ladies out there with tilted uterus?

you probably stopped some of the meds and are less bloated? Maybe you’re eating better… also if it’s your first baby they say you won’t show until later. The baby is still tiny! Wishing you good luck but it sounds like you won’t need it, 10 weeks with a heartbeat is very encouraging x

Thanks for your reply, yes it’s my first baby. not stopped the progesterone yet.Thats the only meds I’m on, my clinic advise is to continue until week 12-13 so will start weaning off next week 💗

hey. In a complete contrast to the earlier message, I didn’t show for ages. Think I started to get a little bump around 24 or 25 weeks but no proper bump until about 30 weeks and wasn’t big until right at the end. It was annoying at first, but actually great with hindsight. I could keep really active and I think it helped me to recover really quickly post delivery. I also have a retroverted uterus so this could be the reason, but in reality, I think we’re all just different.

Wishing you all the best for the rest of your pregnancy!

hey lovely, if this is your first baby it’s very normal to not be showing at this point. Bloating is often the cause of ‘showing’ early on in pregnancy (because the baby is really still super small at this stage), and the bloating often subsides by the end of the first trimester which is why you can suddenly feel less pregnant. I think I was around 16 or 17 weeks by the time my sister pointed out that I was starting to show.

Congratulations! xx

Aw thanks for your reply, very reassuring 💗 i do feel less bloated and was surprised that I had a “tummy“so early, I feel a lot better now and it’s probably because I’m entering second trimester, like you say bloating stopped now so that’s probably the reason xx thank you

I didn't have a bump until 24 weeks and it literally appeared over night. I initially out it down to having too many carbs the day before as had been for a italian! I know you will want a bump and it will come but honestly enjoy still fitting into your clothes etc!

Thanks for replying. Sound familiar about carbs ! Good point, it’s lucky really as long as everything is okay it’s a nice positive to still fit in regular clothes 💗

My bump started to show around 14/15 weeks but it was tiny and has grown gradually since then

I was around 24 weeks before a small bump appeared but no one could actually tell I was pregnant until about 28 weeks. Don’t forget the baby is only the size of a plum at 12 weeks.

I guess everyone is different. I’m usually a size 12-14 and quite curvy so maybe I hid it well !

Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy xx

Thanks for your reply 💗 it’s amazing how different every woman is and how it varies. I’m quite petite, size 6-8. My belly looks more full than before pregnancy but there is no way someone could say I’m pregnant without knowing. Thank you very much xx

very similar to Sianie, I didn’t show until at least 20 wks. I started taking bump pics around 13 weeks and tracked changes and it wasn’t until c25weeks where it was noticeable to people who didn’t know I was pregnant. Good luck for your 12 weeks scan! xx

Aww I guess I’m excited about the bump, but will need to wait a bit longer. Thanks for the luck 🍀 xx

Hi Ggg555,

My symptoms basically stopped except for sore boobs around the 12 week point too. I’m currently 17 weeks and not showing if that makes you feel better. It’s just different for everybody 💕 Enjoy your 12 week scan xx

I'm having twins and not showing yet (almost 11 weeks)! I'm expecting mine to be sooner as there are two and I've heard MAYBE around 12 weeks for twins, but probably a bit after still! (I did have a bloated bump a couple of weeks back but it seems to have subsided and now I'm just a but squishy on front like I've put on a pound or two! But in fact I've lost a pound or two from not drinking alcohol!) Haha!

Congratulations on your twins 🥰🥰 I have started showing a little bit last couple of days but it could be bloating as it’s a lot more noticeable at night rather than morning 😂 after a full day of eating ! Ha ha

Oooh, exciting!! It's reassuring isn't it. I can't wait to have a big bump (although I know when it's painful I'll regret saying that!)

Congrats! I didn't really show with twins until 24wks....my bump really popped at 30wks and felt massive by the end and hugely swollen but I had big boys, 7lb & 6lb1oz at 37wks. Good luck.xx

I had my IVF twins and I didn't really show until I was just past 24wks. Oh and all my symptoms stopped just after 6wks and never came back. Good luck.xx

I've got a tilted uterus and was also hardly showing at 12 weeks. Now 36 + 5 and have a massive bump! It's worth being aware that they might find the scan a bit trickier if you have a tilted uterus - I had to move position quite a lot so they could get good images. After about 16 weeks your uterus is so big that the tilt doesn't make any difference.
