Clexane injection pain

I’m currently 5w+1 and have only been injecting Clexane for 5 days but am finding it really hard.

The first couple of days was fine but since day 3 every time I inject I get a stinging stabbing pain.

I’m swapping from side to side and have tried putting the needle in slowly and quickly.

Does anyone have any tips of how to make these injections a little easier.

Thank you

Hi Winniebear, I’m 5mths into daily clexane injections. I pinch the skin to the side of my belly button and inject there holding the pinch until the injection is finished. I tend to inject slowly. I alternate sides like you do as well. Some sting and some are fine, no rhyme or reason. I used to bruise on the injection sites but now it doesn’t bruise. You can try using an ice cube on the area first to numb a little then inject. Hopefully the injections settle down for you xx
