*Sensitive*Confusion after BFP about symptoms/side effects

Hi everyone,

I hope everyone is well!

I had a FET on the 20th April and got a BFP on the 4th May. According to my apps Im about 6 weeks and a few days right now. It's my third FET with my last resulting in a pregnancy but had a stillbirth at 39weeks. Im now second guessing everything and panicking/worrying that something may go wrong. Im currently getting strong cramps and aches, and wondered if other people had experienced it and if it could be a side effect of the FET medicine (on Lubion, Progynova (orally and vaginally), Cyclogest and Utrogestan). I cant remember any symptoms other than slight bleeding from last time so wondering if anyone has experienced cramps as a side effect of the medicines?

oh bless you and yes I had like actual period pain at about test day and then spotting until 7 weeks. I had cramps in my last pregnancy that didn’t work out but was told they were very normal.

Have you got a scan booked? It’s such an anxious time!!

Thanks for replying! Last time I was worried I had spotting and yet this time Im anxious that I didnt have any spotting!

Yep got my viability scan booked for 23rd so just counting down the days!

Best of luck. I haven’t experienced loss as far into a pregnancy but I know the anxiety of pregnancy after miscarriage and that’s harrowing enough!

Firstly I just want yo say that I am so sorry for your loss. I can not even imagine what you went through and I think it is perfectly normal for you to feel anxious through your pregnancy.Everyone is different. I did have period like cramps when pregnant and was told as long as there was no blood or they aren't bad enough sharp pains or that make you "double over" then it's fine but I can't comment on the medication your taking or the side effects of those.

If you are really worried contact your local Early Pregnancy Unit and they may see you and put your mind at ease.

Thank you so much! The pain has been on and off but not really bad so still hoping its just the meds. Got my scan on Tuesday so unless things get worse will just wait till then!

Hi there, I'm so sorry for what you've been through and it's completely understandable that you're worried at every stage. I am 20 weeks and when I was 5-7 weeks I had fairly regular cramps and no spotting . 💕

Thank you so much! My anxiety has reduced a little since posting and seeing that other people had cramps too.

Sorry about your loss from previous pregnancy, it must have been very hard and I think we won't stop worrying. From your mentioned date I guess you are about 6w now. In my current pregnancy, I didn't have strong cramp, I had a streak of light brown on my period day and that streak of brown carried on for a few days until OTD. After that nothing, just bloating as a side effect of Lubion, cyclogest, Clexane, Progynova... you name it, all the hormones that give you side effects of the pre period. This is the only time it works for me. I had 2 other IVF, each came with slightly different symptoms, one was bleeding before period date and one was no symptom at all (i.e. no sign of embryo implantation). Unless it is heavy bleeding you should take it easy until your early scan, which I think not long to wait? Best of luck!

Thank you! Yes I’ve not had any heavy bleeding nor really bad cramps. Scan is tomorrow so hoping and praying for the best while I try to stay sane until tomorrow!
