hi all, I have finally got a BFP after all this time. I am 5 weeks today. I had some diarrhoea and vomiting over the weekend and this has now settled.

otherwise the only symptoms I’ve had is feeling bloated and hungry all the time. I’ve been really struggling cos I feel like I should be feeling more. I have my scan 2 weeks today and I’m really nervous. I’m just feeling like it’s all too good to be true and scared it’s going to be taken away

Hey congrats on your BFP.

I just wanted to say DO NOT PANIC (easier said than done). I literally posted on here a couple of weeks ago that at 7 weeks I wasn't really having many symptoms and was panicking it was all going wrong. The reality is some of us just don't! My 8 week scan showed that all was fine. I sort of wanted symptoms because then it would prove to me it was all going ok, but actually aside from the odd day of nausea I didn't feel anything until 8 weeks and then suddenly I had terrible food aversion and could sleep standing up! I haven't been sick at all but to be honest I am not a very 'sicky' person so maybe that's why. My boobs are sore but I think that's all the progesterone. Now coming up to 10 weeks I am just tired. That's it really.

There is plenty of time for the symptoms to hit, and even if they don't my 8 week scan is proof that it doesn't necessarily mean things aren't going ok. Deep breaths all will be well xx

thank you.

You are definitely right that symptoms are reassuring and you worry when you don’t feel sick.

I’m so pleased your scan went well. You must be so happy.

Thanks. It’s strange how much the anxiety sets in

I have felt barely anything most of the time. I haven't been nauseous, just the main symptom has been tiredness so far.

I have days with strong symptoms, like last weekend, but most with none.

Just try to take every day as it comes.

Congratulations too!

Xxx

My main symptom so far is sore boobs. I keep giving them a little squeeze to check they still hurt. I've been doing it so much I sometimes forget and do it in public 🤦‍♀️

You think after getting a BFP that's the tough waiting over, but I think the wait for the first scan is worse!! Hope everything goes smoothly and you have just enough symptoms to reassure you but not so much that you feel like cr*p. Good luck xxx

Hey! Congratulations on your BFP! It’s a rollercoaster isn’t it? I didn’t really have many symptoms at 5 weeks, I felt great to be honest, then the sickness kicked in not long after. You might be one of the lucky ones who don’t get any sickness! Symptoms or lack of aren’t the be all and end all. My mum had no symptoms through all her 3 pregnancies, no sickness, no sore boobs nothing! Everyone is different, trust that your body is doing what it needs to do and enjoy the BFP glow! 🥰

That is so good. Thank you for letting us know! I was also so nervous before mine at 8 weeks. I think its just part of it the worry doesn't stop. I am just trying to take it one week at a time. Currently counting down 2 weeks until my next scan. Also it seems everyone is different re symptoms!
