Struggling with Symptoms

Hey everyone,

I’ve posted before about sickness so I may sound like a broken record but I’m still having nausea and being sick at almost 14 weeks! Feeling really fed up! It has improved gradually but I’m just hoping it goes away completely soon.

Did anyone else still struggle with sickness at 14 weeks? If so did it stop completely?

I’m worried I’m going to be like this for the whole pregnancy and I won’t be able to enjoy it.

Thanks for reading ❤️

Hi ZiggyandBC, I am almost 15 weeks and still have the sickness and nausea. Unfortunately some people have sickness and nausea for the duration of pregnancy. I am hoping thats not the case for us. Hope you feel better soon x

Hey! I’m so sorry you’re in the same boat! I was hoping it’d magically disappear at 12 weeks! It’s a lot better than what it was but I’m still feeling rubbish in the evenings which is when it was worse before. I hope it goes away for both of us, there’s still a while to go yet! Xx

Hiya, I feel pretty rubbish too up until 19 weeks but I feel great now at 25 weeks! Here’s hoping yours is the same - will keep everything crossed xxx

Thank you! I have my fingers crossed that it won’t last for the whole pregnancy. It’s good to hear that other people still had it in the second trimester but it still went away. ❤️

hi Ziggy,

I've e had sickness until about week 18. Then it got better. I'm now 24 weeks and last week felt quite nauseous again with a bit of sickness. When I asked the midwife she said that can be quite normal.

Did you get anything prescribed by doctors? Did you try a travel sickness band? I personally haven't used anything but know that it works for some people xx

Hey, aw that’s rubbish that it came back! Yeah when I’ve asked my midwife she just says it’s normal and just a part of normal pregnancy. I’ve had Cyclizine prescribed which does help most of the time but isn’t a guarantee but ideally I’d rather not have to rely on the medication as it makes me so tired! 😅 xx

I'm currently 25 weeks into my second pregnancy and had nausea and sickness until about 18/19 weeks. In my first pregnancy it was the same and then returned in the last couple of months but was not as constant as it was at the start. I took anti sickness tablets with my first (can't remember what they were called) and they did help a little. I have to admit I have not enjoyed being pregnant either time but it's quickly forgotten once baby arrives!

Hey, it’s really rubbish when it lingers for so long. All my pregnancy apps say how great I should be feeling now and that the sickness should have gone 😭 I’m sure I’ll forget all about it when the little one arrives 🥰

I’m 17 weeks and just, just had a few days where I didn’t projectile vomit… I think it’s just bad luck! Hang in there! Xx

I had really bad nausea up to 25 weeks but it then tapered off. It’s so different for everyone and all I can suggest is to keep your eyes on the prize. If you’re struggling to eat and vomiting you can get antinausea meds from your GP. Hope you feel better soon! Xx

I’m a lot better than I was in the first trimester but still can’t stomach most food (especially food I usually love) which is annoying because I can’t really enjoy anything I eat 😅 I’ve got some anti sickness meds so just trying to use them as and when needed as some days are better than others ❤️❤️

I was like it for the whole of both pregnancies. Even with medication it didn't completely go. If you haven't already, speak with your Gp to get something prescribed. I had to try 3 lots before I went back to the first which started to work.💙

I’ve got some meds that do help most of the time, it’s just dealing with the side effects that’s the next thing 😂 I really hope it doesn’t last the whole way through, I’ve been dreaming of showing off my bump but most days I don’t want to leave the house! Does the sickness stop as soon as the little one arrives? It’s hard to remember not feeling constantly queasy 😂 xxx
