sorry for another post but I’m 8 weeks 6 days today

Had a scan at 7 weeks 4 days which was ok.

But I’ve been feeling pretty sick/ hangover feeling past week even in bed all day some days and today woke up and feel totally fine!! Got my appetite back today and no nausea.

so so worried - it’s my first pregnancy and didn’t expect to suddenly feel fine and now thinking the worst.

Hi,

I think it was around this time I had a similar thing happen to me. All of a sudden I didn’t feel nauseous, but then a couple of days later it came back. It kind of came and went in waves until it subsided during second trimester. At around 10 weeks I ended up having a scan for reassurance as it scared me that much.

you’re definitely not alone on this! X

Ahh thanks so much , it just seems such a change from last few days of nausea/lethargy/ can’t eat anything and now fine! Thanks for your reply hoping it can fluctuate! Eeeek so nervous

It made me so nervous and I was convinced something bad was going to happen, but then the nausea would come back and I’d feel silly for worrying. I’m currently 23 weeks and still worrying all the time (I’m a really anxious person!) but I’m sure everything will be fine for you too! If you’re in any doubt I’d reach out to your clinic/midwife so they can give you the reassurance you need.

If you can, a reassurance scan really helped me xx

Hi, I think it's normal to feel anxious during pregnancy particularly when it's your first. Ive not had any pregnancy symptoms for the last two weeks (everything just stopped), apart from increased hunger and feeling a bit more tired. Went into my first scan last week feeling so anxious and thinking there wouldn't be a baby because of this and there was and I had nothing to worry about. I just try and focus on that scan whenever I feel anxious now. Just take it week by week and if you need an extra scan, get one, that's what they're there for 😊

Thanks you so right . Can always get an extra scan. So hard isn’t it when you just go of symptoms! Did you symptoms just stop overnight ? Or are they coming and going again ?

No completely stopped, boobs stopped hurting at about 5 weeks and then I had a week of feeling hung over/mildly nauseous and then that stopped at 6 weeks and not had anything apart from needing more naps since. My waist is expanding so I know something's happening in there 🤣

Enjoy it while you can would be my advice! My nausea would go away for a couple of days at a time and then return in full force. It became a bit of a joke in my family as I'd be worrying that my symptoms had vanished one day and then have my head in the toilet the next 😂. Best of luck! X

get yourself a wee scan for peace of mind lovely but I had this happen a couple of times and got worried! But symptoms came back again. I Walked out a private scan at 9 weeks and threw up after booking it the same day cause I stopped feeling sick for a few days lol scans were the only thing that helped me though. So worth every penny xx

I would say the same as Twiglet , if you can't be reassured by what others and possibly a midwife would say that symptoms can come and go and everything can be ok, book a scan. You can find private ones at around £60. I don't know where you are based but there are plenty of places around. You could try your local early pregnancy assessment service, but I doubt they will accept you.I have had a few private scans for reassurance. I admit it only lasts a couple of days and my anxiety returns but i am grateful for these couple of days.
