Sorry if people see this twice - I originally posted on the other board but realised it should probably be here.
I turned 6 weeks today, even had my first morning spent throwing up so was feeling pretty positive. I’ve had a lot of cramping this cycle, from before transfer even so been trying to persuade myself it’s fine. It’s gotten worse today and constant as a lower back ache which painkillers aren’t touching. Had a big gush of pink-red blood this afternoon and quite a bit since.
My EPU is closed til Monday as is the next nearest. Do I really have to wait til then to be scanned? Is there anywhere you can get an emergency scan on the weekend? I don’t mind paying just don’t know what to do. Or do any NHS 24hr epu’s exist? Xx

Hi Solly. Uff sorry: sounds so so stressful. Where are you based? There are a few London places that do same-day scans if you call in the morning and see if they have a slot. Xxx
Thanks lovely. I’m in East London, don’t mind travelling but can’t find any others that are open either! I’m actually weirdly calm - it’s exactly the same as last time, I know what the outcome will be but seems torture to have to wait days to have that confirmed xx
Ah I'm so sorry, this is really stressful for you. There's quite a few ultrasound directs near East London and I used them for a Sunday scan if that helps 🤞 Unfortunately I don't know an EPU that's open nearby on weekends. Xx
Just to clarify, I haven't used them in your situation but I know they work Sundays and they do scans from 6 weeks. I'm not sure if saying names is allowed but it seemed important to share right now. Xx
You're more than welcome. Happy to help! There's also another one that I found that does Sundays and specifically does scans for early bleeding. Will DM you. Xx
Hey solly, I'm so sorry you're having to go through this again. I'm hoping your pain has subsided as has the bleeding.🤞 I'm hoping you've found a wee scan appt for tomorrow for some reassurance....I'd still ask for an NHS scan thereafter too though. I had lower back ache and a few episodes of bleeding and thought it was over so I'm really hoping it's not the same as last time for you! Huge hugs.xxxx
Hi hun, sorry to hear about the pain and bleeding, probably it’s just due to implantation and to your body adapting to your little one, but it’s great you have a scan tomorrow. Let us know, I will be thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed! xxx
Hi Solly, I’m sorry to hear about this. If you’re in East, you can go to Whipps cross in Leytonstone. Last time I went which was on a Sunday they wanted to turn me away but I was very distressed so they let me in. It’s worth a try, otherwise you can get a referral to EPU on same day if you go to A&E. Wishing you all the best xxx
Oh bless! No I was planning on doing an update but have had a crazy day that involved running from A&E where Teddy was getting his head glued back together (he’s absolutely fine!) to the scan, and back to collapse on the sofa to take it all in! Xxx
