I have another reassurance scan tomorrow, just hoping everything is okay in there and our Little C is growing.
I’ve stopped my progesterone today as advised by the clinic, I don’t know whether 9 weeks is too early? As I’ve seen some people have taken it up until 12 weeks.
Just keeping believing x

Best of luck for your scan tomorrow 💕! I don't have any advice on stopping progesterone at 9 weeks (I start tapering at 12 weeks) but I wanted to share that the scan pics were pretty adorable at 9 weeks so fingers crossed you get a treat tomorrow 🤞✨ xx
Hi Lucy! Ooh I hope the scan went well and the bean is growing well inside 🥰
I am exactly 9 weeks today as well and planning on booking another private scan end of the week when I will be 9+5 just for re assurance. Plus want to know if the SCH is still there. I don’t have many symptoms so the worry is there constantly it is stopped and I wouldn’t know. But trying to just be positive and think the best!
Regarding progesteron: did you have a fresh or frozen transfer?
I have been told on discharge from the IVF clinic to continue with it till 12 weeks but I had a frozen transfer so I know my body didn’t produce any itself. But I belief if you had a fresh transfer due to egg retrieval your body makes more yourself and they start reducing the progesteron meds earlier… maybe that is the reason? If in doubt call you clinic again? Maybe also the scan will show the placenta is growing well? Which would support the foetus now?
I am tapering off my estrogen tablets slowly now as I was on quite a high dose…
Thanks babe, it’s at 16:00🤍I was a fresh day 5 transfer so maybe that’s why, I haven’t had to wean off them just literally stop them at 9weeks, I was only on 600mg, I was on 800mg for two weeks then 600mg for the rest. I’ll see what the scan shows then call my clinic if I’m concerned although they did discharge me as soon as my viability scan was okay. Xxx
I can’t wait till Friday! My boobs feel less firm and just not feeling pregnant at times so really hope we have a positive scan as well and peace of mind! Really couldn’t wait till the 12/13 week scan that is for sure! Xxx
Thanks beaut, I’m sure yours will be okay. I’ve felt the same as you, my boobs went less sore and I felt pretty normal but all was okay. I’m beginning to believe it now when they say symptoms come and go and that’s normal xxx
Had our scan today! 25mm and wiggling away! Still can’t belief it is in there as feel so normal haha but starting indeed to trust now that it is all going as things should be! I will probably never be fully relaxed but every scan I am trusting it more and more! Now 2,5 weeks to go to my 12 weeks scan 🥰
I will be glad if this ‘internal’ scan phase is over finally haha. Bring on the abdominal ultrasounds 😅
Ooh lucky! Yes they advised internal today even though being 2 days away from the 10 week mark 😅 had so many throughout the years I don’t care much but abdominal ones would be nice going forward!
And I have my NHS scan the 9th of May as well! Looking forward to that for sure! Waiting for my first midwife appointment next week as well. All becoming much more ‘real’ now. Sometimes still feels unreal!
I stressed too when I stopped at 7 weeks but all was okay. I was also advised that it was fine to as they’d checked my ovaries were making hormones (but didn’t test levels) - they also said there’s no harm in taking it to twelve weeks just that I didn’t need to, I stopped and everything was fine
Hi Lucy i hope you get to see your baby thriving in your scan.
I had my frozen transfer on the 3rd March and had been told to stop estradiol from viability scan as too much estrogen can cause complications in pregnancy. And I was told to stop progesterone at 10 weeks. I think our dates are pretty similar
Yes they are. My transfer was the 2nd March, I was a fresh transfer. The sonographers looked at my placenta and said everything was looking as it should, so that reassured me 🙂 xxx
I remember last time (FET) I was told to quit progesterone at 8w (but I did wean it out during a week or so, I didn't trust it to be good just stopping from one day to the other). Now (fresh cycle) they initially told me (at transfer day) to stop at OTD if positive, but I protested, so they told me then to continue till 10w. They told me that by 10w the placenta is fully working producing the amounts needed of progesterone, so the supplies are not any longer necessary. The ones continuing till 12w and past are, at lest at my clinic, those who have recurring MCs. So I'll continue till 10w (just 4 days left!) and then gradually stop during a week. I'm looking SO forward to that as I'm so sick and tired of that excessive white discharge the pessaries leaves me with 🤢😫😆
