Hi Big
This is our approach, basically decrease simple carbs, increase unsaturated fat and get adequate protein.
I went to a nutritionist, but not until after a hassle. Medicare wouldn't pay for liver disease referral but did for pre-diabetes. So, I personally use both the foundation and diabetic diet. They are more common than different. When I was in the hospital, they put me a heart diet. I had to tweak myself to follow my better for liver menu, it worked. They gave me diet pop for one, so I drank tea or coffee. Good luck.
