I am trying to reduce my NAFLD and cholesterol. There is conflicting advice as to whether a low carb diet with fat is healthy or not. Are there any forum members who have achieved a reduction in liver fat by following a low carb diet with fat ? Just not sure which diet to follow for the best.

Low carb with fat eating plan for healthy liver ??
A good place to start is a book called “Skinny Liver” by Kristin Kirkpatrick. You may also find info at. nlfindia.com/patients/diet_... helpful

Hi Tessica
Nothing is ever that simple. To support liver health you want to ask it to do as little work as possible. So carbs are good but not simple carbs like white bread. You want fiber to reach your colon. The most important step is no sugar. You need fat but not saturated fat which leads you to a Mediterranean diet with plenty of extra virgin olive oil and fatty fish like salmon. The website has a lot of information but here is a link to the basics.
