I talked to my primary after my diagnosis. And he told me that it could be reversed. The minute I got my diagnosis I stopped all sugar, beer, processed food Etc starting to walk and be more active. I don't see any reason why if you can lose fat around your middle you can't lose fat on your liver. I will say this after a week of a new diet I have new energy I got off my acid reflux antacid which was a huge bonus. And my asthma isn't as bad. It's the sugar the salami those T-Bones. Good luck everyone

Fatty liver and diet
It really is that simple. When you stop making your liver work so hard life is better
What is the diet and where do I find it.
I'm using a Mediterranean diet modify it a little bit cut out some of the fats my olive oil and avocado oil or what I'm using and I am eating a little very lean grass-fed beef that my neighbor gives me. Is cows are Scottish Highlander so they're known to be high in Omega-3 otherwise I wouldn't be getting any red meat. My doctor said I could have one drink a day but I'm skipping that as well. Absolutely no sugar whatsoever refined Foods I do so miss my pepperoni and salami good luck my friend. And Cook's Country has an excellent Mediterranean cookbook that you can get in any bookstore and there's a lot of online information.
I'm so impressed by your resolve, wish I could do that! I was diagnosed with fatty liver January 2019 after first MRI follow-up (US not good enough due to obesity). I'm trying to clean up my diet, finding it hard to eliminate candy my kryptonite. I've been trying to come up meal plans & snacks l can mindlessly fall back on, that seems to be the ticket, pre-planning is not my strong suit.
I was diagnosed in February 2019 and I understand bootandall about the kryptonite. Mine is soda and blueberry muffins from Costco. I work so hard not to have one, but then the cravings get so strong I give in even if it is just a sip or two. Then the guilt kicks in. I know what I need to do, but I can't seem to do it. How long did it take everyone to get off sugar and carbs? I am slowly loosing weight which I am told will help but I get so damn impatient with myself and I want to see the scale go down faster than it does. I try to patient but I don't know what to do. On a day to day basis it is hard. I have cut way back on my food intake and am supplementing with protein shakes so I am struggling with getting enough fiber in my diet. Ok, I just feel like a mess. This is my first time posting so I am just putting it all out. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I hear ya! I cannot have the trigger treats in my house at all or they talk to me. I went from fatty liver to cirrhosis and fibrosis in 4 years. Being on keto was good for diabetes but really damaged my liver. Wanted gastric bypass but now my liver is too stiff for that surgery. Need to lose 125 lbs the hard way.
