Question: has anyone heard of or tried the product "Liver Health Formula"?
I watched an infomercial video with Dr. Holly Lucille that claims to burn liver fat using all-natural herbs. I never try anything without asking for guidance. I want to heal the liver not hurt it nor waste funds on something that is untrue. Any thoughts? Thanks for your input.

We don't have any evidence of a supplement that reduces anything but your wallet. Your liver responds to what you eat. Many supplements are frauds pushed by slick advertising and you can't tell what is true so it is dangerous if your liver is already in trouble.
I just googled Holly Lucille, who appears to be a naturopath not a medical practitioner. This looks like modern snake oil sales to me....be careful.
I dabbled with neutraceuticals, and made things worse, so take care with what you ingest, as it all goes through the liver.
Over the past 3 months, I have been doing a restricted carb healthy fat diet. I also take flax seed oil (for omega 3, 6, and 9), vit D, and L-carnitine. I also increased my exercise.
Over this period my weight has reduced from 11 stone, to 9 stone 12 pounds. I'm 5ft 8 tall.
My liver enzymes are now back in the normal range, so inflammation is getting better. My total cholesterol has reduced from 6 to 4 then up to 5 (I started eating a little more carbs).
A recent ultrasound showed that I still have fat in my liver, but I'm Hoping this will shift over the years to come if I stick with the low carb healthy fat.
I have no evidence that the supplements I'm taking do anything, however, I notice when I stop taking the carnitine that I stop losing weight.
Personally, I don't think there's a quick fix to liver fat. But if one is patient and strong willed, then there is clear evidence that things can get better over the long term, but we need massive re-habitation, otherwise once better we will just return to our older more comfy, less healthy ways.
My liver specialist stressed the importance of avoiding herbs and random supplements that are touted as fixing the liver. The problem is that they are not regulated by the FDA so you don’t really know what you’re getting. She’s affiliated with the medical school and teaching hospital in my city and is involved in clinical research trials. Out of curiosity, one of her colleagues decided to test some of the pills one of his patients had started taking and found that they had NONE of whatever special herb was being touted as a cure-all and wildly fluctuating doses of whatever other stuff was actually in the pills. These so-called *herbal remedies* can actually cause serious liver damage.
Reb500, Thanks for sharing the information. I try my best to stay organic in all things. I think these companies what to profit on so many with this challenging disease. There is no easy fix. It took a long time to get to this point and we have to be patient in turning it around by eating the right foods and plenty of exercises.
I printed out the one-page Liver Friendly Diet posted on the Fatty Liver Foundation site. it is awesome! I am so thankful we have this site and FLL.
I am listening to a group of wholistic doctors with Dr. Jonathan Landsman heading up the interviews. He has a whole panel of very knowledgeable doctors. Dr. BURK BERKENSON higgly recomends Alpha Laporic Acid. I would recommend listening to this series. I am not an easy target for scams and these doctors make a lot of sense w
