First fibroscan today

First fibroscan this afternoon and my nerves are wacky. Had 2 fibrosure blood tests few months apart with apri and elf scores all showing no fibrosis and low risk for fibrosis. Nash is boderline/probable and steatosis is s1-s2. My shearwave elastography said I was f3 . Hepatologist said most scans over estimate from operator errors and few other things . She said blood work is most consistent but she wants to do the fibroscan to put all pieces together. I'm so nervous.

Good luck, let us know how you go. My shear wave was much higher than my fibroscan. Can’t remember exactly but shearwave was about 8kpa and fibroscan was 4.5. Let us know how you go but don’t be worried. The test itself doesn’t hurt and you should know straight away.

Hepatologist could not get a reading. She said it could be due to my rib structure or a part of my anatomy that wasn't allowing a reading.

Blood work is not the best. I've been in Stage 3/4 for years and my blood work doesn't show a thing. Once in a while the levels go up a little but not much. My Dr. said when your blood work goes up, it's to late. There is no real good test for NASH, they are still working on it, that is what is so frustrating. Listen to your body and you will be fine.

I was just reading your bio and post's. I'm very glad that things have improved for you. I'm trying very hard to listen to my body and feed it the right nutrition. Did you have findings of fibrosis on the fibrosure test if you don't mind me asking.
