I have T2 diabetes, obesity, metabolic syndrome now I learn all the precursor to cirrhosis. I had a VCTE TEST done at gastroenterologist and was told "no scarring" at appointment. Then 24hrs later I get a call that it is fibrosis f4 steatosis s2 with significant scarring😢 still confused about being told one thing then another, but it is what it is. Then the Next week a transjugular liver biopsy. My pressure measured no portal hypertension...5mm Hg which is the high end of normal it looks like. Waiting for the tissue biopsy to come back. Really do not have any other symptoms other than elevated ast 60 and alt 90. Was higher a few months ago but came down. I am so confused and concerned as we all are. But I have started suffering from excessive burping after I eat and drink anything. Sometimes 50 - 100 times a day. Just wondering if any one had issues with burping. Any input is appreciated...I found this group and I am happy to be a part of it. Of course wondering about liver cancer and all the bad things too. Thank you everyone for listening

Fatty liver-cirrohosis
Hi
I'm sorry you feel so rotten and are getting different answers. I do hope your biopsy results come back soon. I had n ultrasound early 2016 and was told is just got a bit if fat on my liver. Anyway, my GP referred me. I ended up going private to get a diagnosis. After some tests I was diagnosed with Nafld, the consultant told me my liver was extremely fatty and enlarged, it was so large it stretched the capsule around it which causes the pain. This was caused by all the meds my GPS had given me over the years. Enlarged spleen too. A different consultant who was a heptologist took over my care and said he would take me on under NHS cos I'd paid enough out. I had a biopsy in November 2016 and was diagnosed with Nash with some fibrosis. I hope you get some answers soon. You can pm me if you need to. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx
Thank you for your concern, this is all just so overwhelming. I will feel encouraged by some of the things I have read and feel hopeful then an hour later I am a wreck again. I am to the point I don't want to eat or drink even water because I just burp constantly. That alone is making me
Crazy.....I am thankful that part of the biopsy came back no portal hypertension....I just was wondering if anyone had the burping issue, which has gotten worse over the past few days. Thanks again
Hi May
Confusion over scoring FibroScan is more common than you would think it would be. Do you happen to know what your scores were?
I haven't experienced burping myself but have had people mention it. Liver disease often causes other gastro problems and burping is likely associated with irritation of the nerves controlling that function. I don't have any answers to that but minimizing inflammatory foods might help.

Well I was told by Drs there was no scarring, loss weight, exercise and come back in 6ontgs. Then 24 hours later I received a call saying I had cirrhosis😢 I have been a wreck since then. I was told there isn't anything to cure it just to treat the complications of it and they want a biopsy to see what the liver cells showed. My CAP score was 287 fibrous f4 with steatosis s2. I only have some symptoms such as cramping in my legs -sometimes, starting with a few spider veins. Thank God none of the more advanced signs...really scared of all I have read about cirrhosis and liver cancer. I have been the person caring for everyone and obviously ignored myself. Now just praying for better news. Thanks for your reply and concern
There is a 2nd number on the Fibroscan the liver Stiffness score do you happen to have that value? It is more important than CAP
Yeah 33 😢 I recy my biopsy back and diagnosis is NASH moderate 40% steatosis, stage 3 fibrous. I has a NAS score if 5/8, points were 2fir steatosis, 2fir lobular inflammation and 1fir ballooning cells (few). I haven't talk to doctor yet. I am trying to stay positive, I've seen alot of positive post how people are dealing with NASH. That test showed cirtohsis but biopsy showed stage 3with bridging which I am assuming means scarring. I've read alot of studies and post that steatosis be can be reversed so I'm working and setting a goal gif that. I have changed by eating and documenting everything I eat. "if I bite it I write it " in my food journal. Continuing to exercise have exercise routine 3 hours a week, fell off the wagon for a few weeks when I went thru all the testing and biopsy, so back on track. I've lost 16 lbs in 6 weeks, so my weight is headed in right direction and my diabetes is going in right direction. Waiting gif Dr to go over biopsy with me. Praying I can slow this disease and knowing God is with me keeps me focused.

I HAVE HAD SOME SMILAR DIAGNNOSES⁸
Hi May,
I had a lot of discomfort and digestive issues for many years. One of the main symptoms was burping. It went on for years. Was then told I had gallstones and had to have my gallbladder removed. The burping stopped immediately. Do you still have your gallbladder?
Hope you manage to get your issue resolved soon.
Yes I have my gallbladder and alot of gallstones, although it has never bothered me. I wondered about the gallbladder and if it could cause scarring. I have burped some before but everytime i eat now or drink. I only drink hot tea in morning and water the rest of the day. Nothing else, it seemed like it hit worse after the biopsy???
I too burp on occasions, though feel I have a bad habit of eating my food far to fast oops 😬. Fluids! Try starting you day with a wedge of fresh lemon in boiled water, it fine to drink it cold too, a good detox to start your day. ☕️ coffee is also good if you can drink it. I’m really lucky in that I seem to enjoy 😊 all foodstuffs eg fruit 🍉 veggies 🌶 lean pork, chicken 🍗, fish 🐠 also halloumi 🧀 cheese .
We all feel low on occasions, but try to keep a positive attitude, we’re all with you, and each other 💕
