Hello everyone, I have NASH N1 mild found in Feb 2021 and stage 3 fatty but these are blood test that were done in Feb and Sono that showed no fatty which is crazy me. My doctor to have fibro scan evan my blood is 0 fibrosis. So my question is they on here that has NASH and NO fibrosis. My doctor tells he does I have it, I've lost 45 and 12 more to go. Liver enzymes are not bad AST is normal. ALT little elevated, but heard people have fibrosis and cirrhosis with normal liver enzymes. So put there no fibrosis with Nash?

I'm so thankful for this group.

Heads up we can and fight this.

Is not that NASH can only be for sure diagnosed by biopsy? And other tests like blood and so on can only suspect NASH?

Sorry you lost me?

I mean maybe you have not had NASH at all in the first place (assuming it has not been confirmed by biopsy in your case). But this is my guessing only. Anyway you have no fibrosis which is great news. Sorry for confusing you with my questions.

Oh no that was a blood test, so really I don't about fibrosis due to I have not a fibrosis scan yet. I do the staping pain and that scares me to death. May I ask do you have Nash? I was just saying my is mild but that blood test. I'm just beside by self it's all new to me and doing what I've read it best as for eatting and walking as much as I due to the I need a knee replacement doesn't help. I worried I'm worst than the doctor thinks. I keep seeing people that there LFT test are normal but they cirrhosis or fibrosis Now that's scary and very confusing. Thank you for getting to me. I have 45 lbs and doing what I think is the right thing.

Your right, I follow my self and what I learn, my doctor GI has been practicing for 40 years and he us amazing but they things I know to be true and doesn't take them seriously or just brushes it off. I mean fir doctor tell me ok to drink here and there NO big no.no and to say my pain gas and I know its because of my liver the stopping pain right under my right rip. So how I loss my weight all on me ,how learn to ear all on me, he evan said I didn't to excise and yes you do at least walking. I thank you for your response to my post. We all in this scary unsure condition together really. Meaning we are nit the only ones.

Hi MW923, If I understand your concern, you want to know is if it is possible to have NASH and yet not have fibrosis? The answer is yes. It's called non-fibrotic NASH:ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...

But the study goes on to caution that " Non-fibrotic NASH can further progress to advanced fibrosis, cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma." So thank your lucky stars, keeping living in a healthful way and carry on.

Intresting that according to this article” As up to 40% of NASH patients do not have any fibrosis, these imaging modalities are limited in separating NAFL from NASH without fibrosis." It is from other study from 2014 and it is about TE (fibroscan) ARFI, and SWE. So if this study is correct is quite common.
