Actos

Collagen, and Actos. Was hoping for lower number, but progress is progress! Down to NASH 3 and 33% of my liver. Not sure what the numbers on the right mean?? I weigh 125 now, not sure I could lose anymore??

I have taken a low dose Actos for the last 6 months and am anxious to see if my Nash score comes down. My doctor mentioned a new diabetic drug that is out that is supposed to work better on fatty liver than the Actos, but I can’t remember what it was.

It’s being treated with Actos but the weight gain bothers me.

BUT… my doctor added Actos to my list. (Definitely not saying this is the reason), but I went to Columbus Monday to join a trial and my new scan put me at 10.5 and 260 - so finally lowered me to an F3! Although I have cirrhosis, my 260 number was too low to qualify.

My doctor just put me on actos, even though my sugar levels are normal. I had been on 1000 mg of metformin daily and it apparently is bad for this. Supposedly the actos is good for fatty liver?

I having no luck getting any physician to prescribe Actos for NASH and wondering the response others have received. I keep getting that Actos really isn’t prescribe anymore, too risky, or they just don’t believe in providing any medicines for NASH.

I take a number of drugs for my cirrhosis, including diabetic drugs such as metformin, Victoza, and Actos. I take a little bit of nadalol (20mg/day) to keep my varices small. I recently had a series of iron infusions.

I have spinal problems (MRI shows NO compession of the cord or on any area affecting urology< I have PRE- Diabetes---I am on ACTOS...but pre diabetes does NOT cause PAIN in testes.

I took my metformin my glipizide and actos. Always this dreadful crash happens. I had to go to bed. 10am. Slept til 12.30 i had to shower and dress and leave at 1pm for church at 1.30 hampton court bridge was dreadful. Traffic in all directions.

Now I am taking all except Actos ( due to its warning side effects) . Is it safe to get into insulin rather than taking all this tablets to reduce my HBA1c adverse condition.

I cut off 2MG AMARYL, 30 MG ACTOS from my night medicine. My FBS gradually kept increasing and now in the range of 170-180. My random checks are fine ( between 110- 140). Feeling very sad and perhaps I have to start my meds again along with lchf. Any good suggestion to control FBS?

As asked once again a week later to phone to see if my form gone over to actos, assessment. Answer they know nothing of it when l phoned them. Phone atos,Seems it did go across in Aug after l sent it in and was sent back in Oct. So why was l not told of outcome.

MEDICINES = Morning ( Janumet + Amaryl 2 mg) , Evening ( same as morning + ACTOS). Now questions. I want to reduce medicines as part of my over all goal. what is right strategy for reducing medicines ? for last one week I reduced night medicine of 1 amaryl and 1 actos.

Hai all One Doctor advised that ACTOS is very important for diabettic patient and prescribed it. I consumed it for 2 years. When I shifted from Dubai to Abu dhabi the Abu Dhabi Doctor prescribed it for the first 3-4 months. Then he stopped to prescribe.

One of the studies tested empagliflozin as monotherapy for patients with type 2 diabetes, while two others evaluated it as an adjunct to other standard drugs including metformin, sulfonylurea agents, and pioglitazone (Actos).
